MANY THANKS FOLKS! And seasons greetings to all!!
If the architects plans I have seen this afternoon come to fruition, I think I know where the Battle of Britain material from Hendon will eventually end up – the new Battle of Britain Exhibition Centre at Uxbridge. Looks like the RAF and Hillingdon Council are in the process of building a dedicated BoB set up, by pretty massively extending the bunker facility there by building on top of it. Remember who told you first folks!!!!
Interesting one this – what were they thinking?

Yup!…. a certain book by a certain author has more than a few! I also gathered from the late John Stride that the original short nacelle rears are still on the aircraft underneath the ‘extensions’!
You can get aerosol zinc plate – I’ll look it up next tuesday if needed. Otherwise, we use http://www.wedge-galv.co.uk/East-Anglian-Galvanizing.aspx
I’ve known Peter for a lot of years – he was always bright and cheerful, but recently it became harder and harder to get a smile or chuckle from him. Always helpful, and happy to share, it was a pleasure to have known you mate!

Dan-Air operated a couple
I’d be more than happy for just one – Neil Williams in a Spitfire
There’s just not enough information to go on in my view, but I do know that that sort of thing did used to happen!
When did the Be’s fly? I had to leave after the Hunter due to tiredness.

I cannot believe some of the moronic comments made here!
I think it’s time to give up!
