Cant help thinking once all BA’s Concord fleet have been flown out to thier new homes Airbus will suddenley say “We will support Type” thus Air Frog will say “We are the only supersonic airline”
From the darkest parts of my mind I remember a Hurricane & BF109 both replica’s used in BoB
I think and its very hazy the Hurri wore DT-A
whilst the 109 was marked up as < – + –
They could be the replicas at the BoB museum in Kent if so anyone know which BAPC numbers they are.
Just going on Word of mouth and W&R.
Yak Fan could you find out exactly what is left of the Sea Fury for me please, like I said I am trying to put a booklet or web site together detailing the history of the museum, I hope to get pictures off what all the aircraft are like now.
Whos willing to stump up the cash for me to go to New Zealand…and Florida!
free copy in return! if it go’s to print!;)
All I know is that the Sea Fury is being used in a composite machine being put together in Colchester I beleve its by Craig Charlston but dont hold me to that.
How about P38, P39, P40 displaying together!
Duxford have a P40 are some time soon i hope getting a P38 and I read somewhere a P39?
OOPS I got the airline wrong it was Channel Airways not Channel Express…
As to the Sea Fury parts I beleve only small componants surrive and they are being used in a re-build of another machine, this is also useing parts from G-AGHB & D-CIBO it is not known is she will be a flyer or what aircraft will be repersented it could possibly a T20.
The Viscount was not a British Midland machine when it was retired and broken up with the cockpit going to the museum the aircraft was actually a Channel Express aircraft from what I know it had never been with BM the museum just painted it that colour!
The sabre was infact an F84 Thunderstreak now in deep store at Cosford.

I am presently trying to put together a booklet type thing on the museum, I have been reseaching it for what seems like a lifetime, I have a list of all the aircraft displayed and what happened to them a couple of photos and a few odds and sods.
It was the Blackburn Beverley C1 XB261 at the now closed Historic Aircraft Museum in Aviation Way. They did have a Drover now at Lasham but no T33,
There was a Meteor, Sea Hawk, J29, Javelin & Thunderstreak and 30 other aircraft.
