Who give a toss about the colour, look at Misdemener (or how ever its spelt)
another point is how often would you have seen an imaculately presernted aircraft during WW2,
anwser Never
Seem to remember a few years ago there was a Spitfire on the UK scene that had been given a weatherd look I found this much more intresting to look at that one thats stright off the “production line”
What area of the North Sea?
Twin Engine or Single?
Wing span?
Length?
Heard that it “may” have gone to the Midland Air Museum but was sold off in 1997.
no other details sorry
Best preserved vulcan must be
Blackpools! what a fine aircraft it is, well looked after, complete and not a sign of any corrosion
sting
Hendon’s Vulcan might look good on the out side but it has **** all inside, no engines, cockpit stripped no hydralic lines no fuel system no electrics it is just a shell so can we count it as the best preserved vulcan?
Belfast
BEPS has had jer U/c put back on new wheels and other odds N ends done so who knows…

belfast
A mate living close to Prestwick said that the Belfast was running up over the last few days, after chatting with one of the team working on the aircraft he got the impression that the aircraft might be flying out soon!
also that G-BEPS is being put back in to the air to join HLFT down on the Pacific Rim,
there was also news that once either aircraft runs out of hours one may return to the UK for an un-nammed museum.
Don’t Air Atlantic at Coventry have a 440?
What we cant let the planks get hold of her.
she is british and should remain here in britian no matter what the cost, they scrapped XB261 at Southend then Hendons and now possibly the last remaining one of her breed.
if the lottery stopped funding of the wacko projects and asked us the people who play the sodding thing what we want the money to go on then we would be ablke to save our heritage for the future and not have arty farty snobs telling us what we have to have our money spent on
it will be a disater for the UK if she has to go state side to surrive not that I think she will think of the cost of trasportation, and what the **** has a Beverley got to do with the CAF?
The biggest difrence is in the length of the nose, I beleve there are slight difrences in the fuse as well,
I beleve the origianl aircraft was written off in the accident at Denham, from memory wasn’t the aircraft broken in two?
wings detatched, engines torn off, nose crushed
Its still at Duxford in one of the small building behind hanger 2 or 3, last time I saw it the fuse was in all over primer with the Mk1 nose sitting just behind it, from looking through the windows it looked to have been totaly rebuilt and a possible replacement.
