I was speaking to a friend who controls the Worthing sectors and said a couple of flights turned back because of the unique gale force fog 😀

It would be great to be seeing the traffic land from your armchair while watching the news but I wouldn’t fancy the noise 24/7.

Give me somewhere in the distance I can see them on approach but unaffected by the noise, and close enough for a quick walk/cycle to photograph anything unusual.

    That’s a bit of a letdown 😀

    Coat..hat..door etc

Glad no one hurt though. How long did it take to happen? Did it go with a ‘bang’ so to speak or gradually lower?

Runway 28 is 6130ft. Friend is an ATCO there, talking with him a few years ago he had mentioned about it possibly being extended, not sure how serious it was or whether it was ever taken any further.

UNNAMED US AIRLINE (also known as CONTINENTAL)

    Love it 😀

IAH-ABZ is over 4000nm, would have to be a 767, bit of a stretch for a 757, especially on a bad day?

The blue bellied orange MyT logoed A330 is OV-VKF I think, on lease for the summer. It has been in BFS a few times in recent weeks.

I believe it was the APU, might also explain why the rear exits weren’t used.

    Where has this come from?

I know RB has expressed his wish to operate to MCO and the Caribbean from practically every UK regional, starting with Glasgow and Belfast.

If it becomes permenant then it’s great for GLA, I just hope they don’t lose MAN passengers that don’t want a detour via GLA in the process!

    1L.

I’m still surprised at why BFS is in there every time someone mentions it 😀
I wonder how many passengers they are losing already to FCA with their new long haul package?

I don’t like being rushed, I’d rather get there early and sit around for a while and gather my thoughts than be running from check-in to boarding, no idea why 😀

I was thinking Spanair too, could be one of the Norway-Canarias flights, but seems a bit long for an MD80?
