“Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will replace the suspended Egypt programme with additional flights and holidays to Spain and Portugal, adding 70,000 seats across a number of its bases.”

Surely the additional Spain and Portugal flights will bring more revenue in due to the forum around time and the amount of money Jet2 are able to charge to these places compared to Egypt??

I have done over 30 FR flights in the last 3 years and the only issue I have had is a 10 minute delay when flying into LBA from Dublin.

People are always slagging off Ryanair, when was the last time you over heard a conversation about how good FR were ?? the fact is, a lot of people will only speak about a airline when something goes wrong for them, when everything goes right thats just expected and people don’t tend to sing praises any more!

Im sure everything will be fine from a payment perspective..

If FR were “that” bad to the consumer, do you think they would still be in business ??

    Good luck!

    Thanks

LS864 is full, but the Flight to LBA is looking ok.

Its a shame theres nothing AM outbound though.

Yea, a total rip off and quite cheeky. A very good point has been made in this thread about this flight being a scheduled service as of 1st Sept. To charge that sort of money to see a “every day” service is pure greed. I could understand if it was a day of events similar to NCL a few weeks ago.

Yeah – I could understand if it was an event, looks like we will have to go to the free section like normal – 🙂

It’s easy to laugh at people saying, ‘I thought I was going to die’ in newspaper reports of this sort, but most people are not that knowledgeable about aviation matters and regard aircraft as something that simply takes them on holiday.
If one made a huge bang on take-off, they would hardly sit there and say, ‘Oh, don’t worry, it’s only a V2500 surging. They’re prone to it. We’ll be ok.’
Most of the passengers sounded s**t-scared to me, and I can well imagine why.

I think you have got it spot on there.. the average PAX who only gets on a plane once a year will be listening to all noises thinking “what’s that”, more so if a nervous flyer.

The fact is, the media are just reporting what “normal” people are thinking, and i bet some of them PAX thought they were going to drop out of the sky!! 😮

Even to a keen aviation follower, i bet if you was on that plane say for example in the front few roads, there would be an element of “thinking” going through your head at that moment in time when you hear a few large bangs and a sense of concern.

I would find it hard to believe that no-one would not have an element of concern.

By the way… Code Corba is that a airline code word or used throughout the business ?

I also work for Jet2.com on the ground but at Leeds. I can tell you that on Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday the flights are operated by 757s, whereas on a Friday it’s a 737.

    Enjoy your flights.

    Thanks –

I have just checked on Track Flight Stats and it states a 737-300, would you expect that data to be correct?

Route: From (MAN) Manchester, EN, GB to (AGP) Malaga, SP, ES
    Duration: 2h 55m
    Equipment: Boeing 737-300 Passenger (Scheduled)

in reply to: Jet2.com – Infant Bag Allowance #547577

Jet2 does not provide any checked allowance for infants, handbaggage only to carry infant stuff such as nappies etc is allowed.

The only exception to this rule is Buggies which you are allowed to check one in per infant.

Source: Work for a handling agent at NCL who handles Jet2.

    Hi,

We fly next week so i called Jet2 this evening to confirm,

They have advised that the infant has no allowance apart from 1 buggy and / or car seat on the basis its under 10KG.

The customer service advisor advised that no hand baggage will be permitted for the infant, and therefore need to include this in the adult PAX allowance,

Basically, we were going to take 3 hand luggage items, and now we need to take 2…

One another note………. Whats the rules these days with fulid in hand lagguage, ie baby milk, formula powder and water for the infant?

Am I ok taking 3 bottles, (8oz), 3 “home made” measured tubs of milk formula powder, and a jar of baby food?

    Cheers

.i see nothing wrong with the practice..what’s the difference between washing plastic or stainless steel??

I dont see this as a bad thing… as long as its fit for purpose, clean, then whats the problem….. if anything.. it should make the recycle “people” a bit happier!

London airports are currently unaffected and will remain open between at least 7pm tonight and 1am.
