Where are the engines!? ,that’s a great sign that an aircraft is almost ready for delivery-no engines! something tells me that airbus just wanted the thing painted to look as they’re doing something positive, when in fact they still have a lot of work to do,alot of time to scratch that lovely paint between now & october:D
lol.. didnt notice.. had to go back in and look.. your spot on i bet inregards to Airbus trying to bring a bit of postive news their way for a change regarding the 380..

i have noticed this from the new brochure..
let see what happens with the TUI merger..
RickT
I have never doubted is said it, but it must be a mistake in the brochure.
Just that FCA never planned any flights to HUX from Gatwick, only from Manchester.
Topjet, no worries,,
I have just picked up First choice new brochure today for Winter 2007 to summer 2008 and its also in there… but has no timetable for Manchester to HUX?????
Intresting…
Right… after digging through all the my First choice brochure’s i have found the timetable i had seen!!!
See the picture below..
This is taken from the First Choise Tropical brochure winter 2006 / summer 2007
I knew I had seen it somewhere!!
Your thoughts please.
RickT
sorry to be a killjoy.. should this not be in the General Discussion area?

Plane Carrying 115 People Crashes
Updated: 09:57, Saturday May 05, 2007
A passenger jet carrying 115 people has crashed in Cameroon, according to an aviation official.
Kenya Airways lost contact with the plane shortly after takeoff and a search operation was launched.
A Kenya Airways jet crashed in 2000 killing 169 peopleAir traffic controllers picked up a distress signal from the aircraft before contact was lost.
The flight originally began in Ivory Coast but stopped in Douala – Cameroon’s largest city – to pick up more passengers en route to the Kenyan capital Nairobi.
The 737-800 was carrying 106 passengers, eight crew members and a flight engineer.
The plane is the latest generation of 737 capable of carrying 189 passengers and has long-range capability.

Kenya Airways boss Titus Naikuni said: “The last message was received in Douala after takeoff and thereafter the tower was unable to contact the plane.
The airline has opened a crisis management centre near the airport.
Relatives of those on the plane have been instructed to go to a nearby hotel where they will be provided information as it becomes available.
The last crash of an international Kenya Airways flight was in January 2000, when a flight from Ivory Coast to Nairobi went down, killing 169 people.

A Kenya Airways plane with 115 people on board has crashed in southern Cameroon, near the town of Niete, Cameroon state radio reports.
The flight, which originated in Ivory Coast, was reported missing on Saturday after it failed to arrive in Nairobi.
There is no confirmation of the crash from Kenya and no reports on the fate of the passengers.
Kenya’s national carrier has a good safety record. However, 169 people died when one of its planes crashed in 2000.
Connecting passengers
Kenya Airways says the last message was received by the control tower in Douala, Cameroon, soon after take-off.
The airline says there were 106 passengers and nine crew on board the Boeing 737-800 plane.
It is not clear what the nationalities of the passengers are but it is thought many were connecting through Nairobi to other destinations.
The Kenya Airways website says the fleet is 23 strong but only one of the planes is a 737-800. It is 26%-owned by Air France KLM’s Dutch company KLM.
In January 2000 a Kenya Airways plane crashed into the sea after taking off from Abidjan airport in Ivory Coast killing 169 people. There were 10 survivors.
Excellent video there…very good detail, Simon Calder is a great reporter.
The only thing I would say though is that I am rather disappointed that there were no check-in agents on show as I work for Swissport who handles FCA at Gatwick…would of like to have my five seconds of fame!:D
If anyone has any questions about FCA’s Star Class Premier product, please feel free to ask as I know quite a bit …
I think im out of questions now regarding my flight with FCA to HUX… if i have any more im sure to let you know!!
Thanks for the comments regarding the vid… i just fell upon it while surfing the good old tube..
As said above the detail is pretty good and a intresting watch..

im suprised their isnt one for “bye bye Jet2” yet?
Time will tell..!!
Just goes to show how even these little captions are adverts to attract customers from the other airlines over to Ryanair placing doubt in the normal traveller regarding the other airlines… i guess a normal traveller may think…. i wonder if the other airline is closing down… best not book with them…
Still RYANAIR have the cocky attitude and do get the negative feedback from some customers… but the fact is in todays market.. cheaper is better to most of the average travellers..
RickT
Humour and insult at the highest level…
Thanks for the info..
RickT
intresting…
as the First Choice brochure printed in 2006 for Summer 2007/winter has a time table from LGW to HUX.
And i know for sure it was online as i checked it..
Also it was not a pick up location either..
RickT
Glad to see all ended safely.. as we know it could fly on just the one engine but credit to the pilot.
Very nice to see that a Aviation enthusiast got the video of the inicdent..
RickT
I wonder if the IFE is now a boom box with a few amps running at 100db’s??
Also i wonder when they are putting the 22inch Alloy wheeels spinners on with low profile tyres alloys with a blue neon lights??
Chav’ed up… Pimp my plane!!
Can you imgine that its not going to be a quite peaceful flight!!!!! but better they get yobs onto a plane together rather than upseting other travellers!!

Just in case you was wondering how your frineds were getting on… see below..
In regards to Bristol-Puerta Plata ??
Are you sure they didnt take an internal flight to MAN as FCA28 was from MAN??
See below..
RickT
Flight details from http://www.flightview.com/TravelTools/FlightTrackerQueryResults.asp
Also.. once you key the flight number in.. select “LAUNCH LIVE” for real time movement etc etc..
It will be the 767..
Bit of advice if its not too late.. tell them to upgrade the IFE for £5 each if sat in the star class… this gives them the option to stop – pause etc and watch on demand..
In regards to the 767 with FCA, im going out on one in about 2 months time..
so any feedback would be welcomed..
