That is not what I have heard…

I heard that a Monarch flight due to depart from MAN to Spain was delayed due to technical problems, so they decided to re-route the aircraft from Lapland to land at MAN so they could get the flight to Spain out, avoiding the possibility of it being cancelled overnight.

Thats what i heard on SKY NEWS TV.. however the website has reported it different…..

I bet Monarch thought well the passengers are back in the UK so that is all that matters and its “Cheaper” to coach them back to Gatwick than putting a full flight in a hotel and passengers on a outbound are not delayed as the others have already been on there trip!!

Guys…

Booked with RYANAIR from Stansted to NYO – £45 inc all taxesand baggaged per person… fly out at 13:00 and return at 17:05 GMT,

Outbound cost 0.01p plus taxes and return cost a massive £7.99 plus taxes

As theres 3 of us going there its worth the 170 miles to stansted

Hire car booked and looking forward…

Bargin price if you ask me!

yeah i know.. but as we are going 100 miles west anyway.. it only adds on about an extra 30 miles or so….

just while we are on the topic of seating.. i have only ever sat in “normal” seats once… even on the “package holiday” i have always paid £15 each way per person for extra legroom,..

Always sat in the center next to the exits… im not very tall… 5ft 10 and our lass is only 5ft 1, so we always get these people looking at us and i can see them thinking….”why do you get to sit there when your not tall and im 6 ff 5!! LOL!!

The fact is if i could upgrade to a better class i would ever time… i dont know about you but it does my head in even on a 4 hour flight to greece when i cant move!! its worth it every time and i enojy the flight even move… even if its just a case of standing up for a few mins and you dont bother anyone..

Also you get to speak to the cabin crew who sit right in front of you looking at you making that converstion “where are you going??” i reply “same airport as you i think?????”

also one other question… how much is 5 nights parking onsite at Stansted?? (not any of the car minder etc, the normal Airport car park)

i have found some bargins….

RYANAIR – Stansted to Stockholm (NYO) on the dates i require £29 return inc taxes…. now is that a deal or what!!

Standsted is 150 miles from me but as theres 3 of us going so its cheaper in the long run with a bit of fuel and parking!!

i read some info regarding this sometime back…

however the pilots were against the idea as they liked to know the engines were working correctly on idle and no reported faults and the taxi run confirmed all was ok…..

How much fuel is used from stand to runway??? is it more than a tow truck, running and servicing a tow truck, addtional staff, salarys, time it takes being towed compare to un-aided? (time = money!)

the way fuel prices keep going up the answer is more likley to be YES!
