Yes it is still there. It is a Spanish Casa built version. I would imagine that it would be due for restoration after Airspace has been completed perhaps?

Ah, I saw this aircraft at Bodo a few years ago, lovely little museum with a rich assortment of aircraft. Where else can you see a JU-52 on floats?

    Steve thanks,

So what is it a bomber, trainer ect.

fighter bomber I think but im sure there is someone on here who knows much more. It was called the Ouragon originally, Toofani is the Indian name for it.

    thanks chaps,

so in summary, done because of cost then, seemes fair enough as long as it is safe.

I wonder how different the handling is.

I’m sure I read somewhere there was a suggestion to repaint it in Battle of Britain movie markings.

Why wouldn’t cosmetics turn the aircraft into an He111? The Buchon is simply a Bf109 with a Merlin, and we’ve already seen quite a few of those restored with DB605s, so why not the CASA 2-111? OK, suitable engines might be a problem, but apart from that…?

    authenticity?

The info boards at East Kirkby say that it was built as a film prop at Pinewood.

    I stand corrected,

cananyone check wrecks and relics? think it was in edition 14 at least. Havent got mine down here im afraid to check.

    best regards, steve
