Thanks very much, Ill post updates on here but the best way is to join the mailing list 🙂
thanks everyone for looking and taking an interest.
Looking good Steven, we wish you the best with it. From all at Lincs Aviation, EK
Thank you Andrew, I think you appear briefly in the background during the sequence where an ex Lanc mid upper gunner goes for a taxi in Just Jane.
Thanks again to your team for your help,
best wishes
Steve
Looks interesting Steven, have the guys at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Partnership been involved?
NAM has just sent off a new education DVD for pressing, which includes some aircrew stories from Nottinghamshire Airfields.
No, although some of the members of the partnership have kindly allowed me access to sites etc and we are in contact occasionally. The film however is very much a separate concern. Why do you ask? 🙂
Very best wishes
Steve
I am currently making a short DVD and i want to use the theme tune from the Battle of Britain as background music does anyone know how i go about contacting the people who hold the copyright ? maybe this film tune has an expired copyright and is now in the public domain? any help gratefully recieved.
If you find out which record / cd label last released the soundtrack then you could ring them and find out who possesses copyright. This piece of music wont be in public domain im afraid.
good luck with your project
Steve

Nasho, did you read the Daily Telegraph link I posted? Notice the ‘not for sale’ statement?
The Mail has (as usual) deliberately misinterpreted a statement, liked up a bunch of people and misinformed them to get a line of rent-o-rants (just like here). The Telegraph, as used by right wingers who don’t need to run their fingers below the words, actually has several statements quoted from the MoD, not a negative spin on one as per the Mail.
Certain people want you fulminating over utter rubbish like this rather than thinking for yourself, and worrying about what’s important. The fact remains Britain (and anyone’s) historic heritage does not remain in the hands of the Defence organisations in perpetuity; including numerous ex-military historic sites and artefacts in the UK we all treasure.
HMS Victory is not under any real threat (and I’m sorry, but you’d have to be remarkably credulous to believe so) – but a pile of tripe is selling papers and causing discussion – which is what the real point is here. Time to read up (Like how USS Constitution ‘sails’) learn a bit and move on.
If you actually learn a few of the facts (as ‘not provided by your tabloid’) no other country in the world has as much 20 century military material preserved (per area) and raises as much revenue through tourism (internal and external) from it. Rather than crying into your beer, maybe you might like to recognise how well provided Britain is.
Regards,
Some reason at last…
My wife is involved in the charity sector and is no great fan of airshows. She was asking me how much money, if any, airshows make. With ever rising costs in most areas, I would be surprised if any real profit is made from these events.
Are there any figures available?
I understand. although happy to be corrected, that Waddington for example usually makes a sizeable sum for charity.
well done Peter and the team, a great achievement.
best wishes,
Steve
Me thinks that Flypast Magazine should step in – it’s about time they did something other than report the news. They should make the news. Yes, I know they sponsor Sally B, etc – but considering they have more resources (telephone, fax, people on the ground and INFLUENCE etc), they should have a better chance of saving this old girl.
Just a little unfair to say the least. Why should they? They are a business and the sponsorship by the magazine of many aviation subjects (past and present) should be appreciated as should this forum which is provided free of charge and has provided a communication network for aviation enthusiasts worldwide.
Perhaps, just perhaps, you grossly underestimate the resources, not just financially, that flypast has.

Knock down the chicken sheds
I would have thought the more Chicken Sheds the better, afterall, isn’t it the Panton’s successes with the Chicken business amongst other things that has allowed them to do the wonderful things at East Kirkby which we enjoy today 😉
The practise flypast flew over Lincoln yesterday. Quite an incredible sight.
Well she had ground runs yesterday, I took a bit of footage, I just hope they got her covered up before the hail came 😉 😀
So it shouldn’t be long, it’s a nice sunny day today 😉 😀 lol (well it was, it’s gone cloudy now)
thanks Lincoln, if anyone does know the date/s time for the practice displays etc it would be greatly appreciated.
lanc at derwent water on may 16th 🙂
