Flightline depends on whether grass or tarmac runways being used, I would guess at 100-150 metres for grass and 200-300 metres for tarmac. But fly throughs are often virtually overhead when they curve at M11 end or tank bank end. Yes you are allowed in the hangers but please keep behind the rope barriers. Adult admission is £17-50.

“Has anyone got any photos of the Beaufighter please? I have seen it lurking in the back ground of some the TFC shots.”

I raised the funding issue on another forum at the same time as this one started and wrote to Elly shortly afterwards. In that letter I advised of the links to both threads, here and elsewhere, and I received an acknowledgement shortly after. What happens next is down to the Trustees I would assume.

I have gone over to buying electronic copies of all my aviation magazine, not just Flypast. Makes storage a lot easier and no more trips to shops just to buy them. All done from the comfort of my home.

As someone who works as a volunteer in the visitor centre I can honestly say that we get a substantial number of visitors whose first question is ” what is flying today”, to the extent that we usually get advance notice of any known flying taking place.

As I work as a volunteer at Duxford I was told the following.

The idiots responsible rammed the entry gates to the car park, which was picked up by securty. By the time they had rammed the front of the visitor centre the security people had phoned the police and where outside the centre on the airfield side at which point the crooks left the way they came , hitting a lorry I understand when they joined the A505.
The whole site is under constant CCTV.
