In case you haven’t noticed, you surely have not made a good impression with any of us due to the nature of your posts.
I admire the way you guys get really geeked up for these games, and it’s not even the finals yet. Special charters just so all the hooligans, errrrrrrrr, fans can go and watch these games. I’m guessing they have special air/hotel packages for these?
Welcome Hans. Nice to see a new member come in right away and make a good impression, unlike Bahnhaus

Then what about existing water bombing aircraft. They fly just as low, if not lower, than this potential firefighting 747.
I was well aware of that Sandy, however those are also much more agile than the 747.
SAS hasn’t flown to LAX in years. You might be thinking of Seattle, Steve.
How is a 747 going to fly low enough to jettison all that water? Seems a bit dangerous, although I’m not a pilot so what do I know?
They were leasing A310’s from KLM in the 90’s, I believe -200’s. Did they eventually return these leased -300’s like the one pictured to LH, or do they still have them?
I thought there was one in FRA but I couldn’t find it when I was there in 2002 where I had missed my flight and had plenty of time to spare.
When did they stop serving SYD? I know there is a huge Lebanese population in Sydney.
I got lost in JFK in 1976 in TWA’s Terminal of Tomorrow when I was 2 years old. Mom found me behind some pillar just staring at the planes near the window. The rest, as they say, is history.
I love those 720’s and 707’s. The flew those in ATH as late as 1995. What routes were the 747’s used for?
For me it is if I’m going to get miles, and how many? Am I going to be able to upgrade, or no? More often than not, this requires playing a slightly higher fare. I don’t fly Southwest unless it will benefit my trip time-wise. I have never flown Jetblue.
There was a similar post about a week ago that had an american flag in a similar position on the starboard side. WD explained it as the flag flying in the prevailing wind position as if it were on a flagpole, front to rear. I see a similar case in this scenario with Sabena. Similarly, in the U.S., if you hang a flag vertically as opposed to the normal horizontal, the stars must remain in the upper left which in certain cases means, flags being displayed on their ‘bottom side’ which at times displays stitches as opposed to the top.
P.S. I love that Olympic Comet in the background of that Sabena prop-job in LHR circa 1963.
That is a nice livery and indeed agree that ‘serbian terrorists’ is a stupid plot. They also could have chosen someone other than Heather Locklear to play the role. Or perhaps no one else would take it?

There is a Virgin Pacific in this region
Indeed, Pacific Blue. They should just keep the name as is, but apply some Star Alliance logos to their aircraft. 😉
