Who is Barca playing against when you go?

There are no 742’s left in the Qantas fleet, they have four 743’s in service at the moment with another two being fitted out to 744 cabin standard at Avalon in Victoria, they will come back into the fleet about mid year making a total of six
Looks like they plan on holding onto them for a while, then. One is still painted in Nalanji colours, no doubt. I flew on a QF 742 about 2 1/2 years ago, and the interior was pretty ragged.

its a good one off wasnt their planes in that liver when it was usair?
Not quite. It was bare metal, but the tail was different and they had different cheatlines. The cheatlines and tail of this example are identical to the regular livery, minus the navy blue upper fuselage and grey lower fuselage (and of course the different titles).
Ichi,
I was in Vegas yesterday, as well. I flew out of there at 8:15 p.m. on United, so I noticed you didn’t take a pic of my aircraft. It was supposed to be a TED flight, but wound up being a mainline UA flight instead. Same thing happened to me on the way up there on Friday night. It would have been nice to have known this ahead of time, that way I could have upgraded to First class.
Considering how quickly the firetrucks got there, they must have been alerted ahead of time.
Thank you very much for that, Elias. The amount of research you did on this is incredible, and I in no way ever expected you to put forth that amount of effort in this. I am very appreciative. Everything you say, makes sense, especially of the strengths of the unions. Because of all the red tape that occurs, it is impossible to operate an airline profitably. Does the ‘new’ Olympic have to deal with the same nonsense that the old one did? If so, what was the point of making a ‘new’ OA out of the ‘old’ OA with the same aircraft, routes, etc?
A lot of you guys probably hate it, but I think it’s pretty cool, as long as the whole fleet isn’t painted accordingly. For just a few aircraft, it’s a nice change of pace to an already fantastic livery, in my opinion.

On a similar note, are there any easy ways to tell a difference between a 741 and a 742? The joke I’ve heard is that if it has a brown tail (UPS) then it’s a 741. 🙂
Not that I know of. If it has 3 upper deck windows, it’s definitely a -100. However, later versions of the -100 had the 10 upper deck windows of the -200. UPS has -100’s and -200’s so I don’t know about that joke.
As much as I love the restaurant, as I am a fequent visitor, I would not fly the airline.
Skylinerworld, since I like you, I’m going to provide some helpful advice. Perhaps you should reply to threads for a while, rather than starting some on your own. Try this for a few months, to get into the flow of things. After that, you might see what is a cool topic to post and what isn’t. Don’t take this personal, and nobody is telling you to leave. Keep coming in here, and keep contributing.

Now you see, you are starting to annoy everybody. Sorry guys, I was away for a weekend, and I come back to this neolithic incompetence, so I had to get my 2 cents in. You obviously don’t have a damn clue, Bahnhaus. You’re a rookie here, and come in talking all sorts of mess. You’re a disgrace to that California flag you’re flying. Whiskey Delta, outstanding pics, as usual. Keep posting them, even if it takes 100 posts per thread.
Looks like the No. 1 engine has a piece of the old wunnala dreaming cowling.
Steve, any idea how many 743’s QF still have in service? Also, are the 742’s completely gone?

Just as I was saying when the original thread on OzJet went up, there’s no way they’ll be allowed to operate in and out of Bankstown.

This would also come into play as well. If OzJet can, why can’t DJ?

The ONLY aircraft? This is completely false. 757’s, 737’s series 300-900, MD-80/90’s, Airbus narrowbodies, and even FedEX MD-11’s routinely operate in and out of there.
That’s an interesting angle. Rather different from the usual stuff. Too bad I didn’t think of that.
