Greek isles a little popular over the summer?
At the moment, the airlines that operate the A345, have a reason to do so. EK fly them non-stop DXB-SYD. SN plans on flying non-stop SIN-LAX/SFO (not sure if this has begun, anyone know?). Realistically, there are no routes originating in London that justify this type of range. You’d still need a hell of a lot more range to fly LHR-SYD/MEL non-stop.

…the modern airline industry needs both Airbus and Boeing to provide the technical and design progress as well as choice for the airlines vital to the continued evolution of the airliner.
I couldn’t have said it better myself. I like products from both companies.

What routes will the aircraft be operating on? Maybe they should introduce services to Sydney!
AF, like several European carriers, stopped flying to SYD a few years back, dartie. I really don’t see them starting again, anytime soon. They probably codeshare with Korean from CDG to SYD via Seoul.

Awesome shot! Will we be seeing your SXM shots in the near future?
I posted 2 yesterday, LBA. One of them (thread now on pg. 2 of the forum) has ZERO views and one response 🙁 , as we speak. I have some of the KLM and Corsair 747’s and of the AF A340 that I’ll be putting up once I fix them up.
What is the weather like down there? Did you fly Air New Zealand getting there, as well?
Long walk, indeed! Coupled with my alergies going ballistic, I wasn’t feeling too good. It was some of the best spotting I’ve done anywhere, however.
I was there Aug. 9-16. Yes, I know, what the heck took me so damn long to post? My apologies.
Thanks for that Michael. That schedule does look confusing, but it looks like they operate 4 flights weekly. That’s quite a few. Did BA ever match that route with one of their own?
Does Virgin serve LAS from LHR or LGW? Also, is this a daily service?

Ahhhh yes a little correction Air Malta have already operate the A320 before so this is not the first new A320, you can say that for the A319 lol!
Yes, but the aircraft in the picture is not an A319, darite.
I wonder if I will see it in LAX anytime soon.

Got the point here. But what’s the advantage over the B747?B747 is too big for some routes?
I don’t think the MD11F has an advantage over the 747F, per se. I just think airlines such as LH Cargo and FedEx are stocking up on 2nd hand MD11’s and converting them to freighters because they are considerably cheaper to purchase than a 747F of equal or lesser age and still have years of service left in them.

Rather than post my favourite 2 letter word for an unprecedented 3rd time, I’m going to assume you went on pure speculation here, Matthew.
It looks fantastic in those colours. What routes is it used on?
