I vote SIN first, SYD 2nd.
It’s a good pic. Hey, we’re not professionals like they are on A.Net and I surely do not have expensive equipment like they all most likely do.
As far as Greek goes, it’s all Greek to me! I speak it fluently, actually.
I thought Wysiwyg was on his way up to Spain, for the UEFA cup?
1) They might have 4, not sure. 2) Refuse to answer this one. :p 3) No idea on this one.
Maybe not then, just a thought. It might have been cheaper to fly into LGW as opposed to MAN, and then take a week to hike up there?
It was an Olympic promotion, in red, blue, green, etc. with the stick figured athletes on it, I believe.
I’ve flown on an MD90, which is basically a longer 717. It was allright, even though it was on UA’s hated rival, American. Bhoy, with me being partial to Bavarian Motor Works, I like to think of the 717’s as having BMW engines. 🙂
Yes, Bhoy, you are correct on both fronts. It was Singapore, not South African that crashed in 2000 at TPE taking off on a closed runway with equipment parked on it. They re-painted the 2nd example, shortly thereafter, which is a shame, but a logical decision nonetheless. Not sure if that multicolored S.African scheme is still out there.
Nice, A330C. We need to see more of our own pics, less of A.net. I’ll go to the website in order to view those. Speak much Greek while in Paphos? :p
Yeah, it’s a series 20, specially made for SAS. They flew them up until a few years ago.
Could it have to do with the fact that both teams playing in the Champs League final are both Italian? When is that game anyway, I know the UEFA cup final is tomorrow.
Olympic aviation operates 2 of them. They are the only ones in Europe, I would imagine.
Indeed, those privileges should be granted to all affected carriers. Surely you don’t expect the U.S. gov’t to grant said privileges? To each, his own.
Delta, United, American, Continental, and USAirways have already retired all 727’s. Delta still operates a few 737-200’s. MD-80’s are still relatively new, i.e. the oldest ones are around 20. I don’t consider those a classic type, as of yet. Northwest is really the only one that still operates the old types, because their fleet is comprised of so many of them! They still operate the 742 on transpacific flights. They still operate DC-10’s. They still operate DC-9’s. And they still operate a handful of 727’s, mainly for sports charters. As far as fleet renewal goes, who can afford it now? Nobody.
LTU’s charter configured MD-11’s held 404 in all-economy, so I guess a 777 would be somewhere in that range.
