How is it rubbish?
NWA’s hub in europe is AMS. Just like BA’s hub is Heathrow.
Many airlines, including NWA, EK, BA, KLM and more operate on a hub and spoke system.

Therefore NWA will problably allow KLM flights from all over europe feed into their AMS operations.

So tell me, how is this rubbish?

Not being aggressive in any way, shape or form, in my opinion. Again, he was just asking a question, that was answered a little bit later.
