Could http://www.bahn.de be any more confusing? I went there, entered dates and whatnot, and I’m completely lost. I’m using the english version, as well. Also, I went to http://www.lufthansa.com and entered my info and got a fare of $108Euro. Well, once I entered that I’m a resident of the US, the price shot up to the aforementioned $511US. What kind of garbage is this?
Most important in this job not to get too tangled up with the birds..at least not the 6 working in Upper Class or the 9 in Economy!
Indeed, one of my female cousins has been working for Jetblue as a flight attendant for a year now. I would have bet top dollar at the time she got hired that she would have gotten ‘tangled up,’ as Ian mentioned. A year later, let’s just say I’d be a rich man. 🙂

I presume the interiors of later models were revamped? The (Thompson) a/c I flew on had a very 80s feel to it, with those box TV monitors attached to the ceiling, and that old fashion big red buttons for calling the cabin attendants.
All the 757’s I’ve ever flown on also had the box TV monitors. I would say this is more or less standard on the ’57’s that have entertainment systems installed. Heck, I’ve been on LH A319/320/321/310/300’s that didn’t even have audio, let alone video! How many 757’s nowadays have PTV’s? In terms of the overhead bins, just as Sandy mentioned, that’s per the airline. UA updated the overhead bins on all their Boeing narrowbodies about 5 years ago.

Thank God. I don’t like the full length cowling on the A330.
Me neither. Although, the latest versions have seemingly ditched this look.

Emirates have had to put their planned Geneva flights back beause of a shortgae of aircraft.
Shortage of Aircraft, Emirates? 😮 😮 Frankly I’m shocked! Don’t they have like 200 outstanding orders, or something? I know their backlog is huge, but it seems like they’ve been taking delivery of aircraft pretty consistantly the last few years. How many new routes have they actually started that they would even have this problem?

I approve of Shanghai’s chose of engine for their ’57. It’s a shame they stopped production of the 757. It has to be arguably the most versatile jetliner of all time.

Or is it the wooden box with a keyboard powered by twin hamster wheels?

No Sandy, that would be a RR powered 757. 😀
