Welcome back Sandy. Well done on the templates. Other than Monarch, you covered the 3 most important airlines that flew the 707 ;). No doubt those are JT-3D’s on those ’07’s, eh Sandy. 😀

We have a few of those in SoCal, not the least of which is the infamous ‘4-level’ near downtown L.A. where 4 freeways come together.

An actual date would be nice, so people could perhaps make plans to go out and see it fly for the first time.

It’s a pretty small city, perhaps Atlantic City? If we had Smell-O-Vision we could tell if it smelled like New Jersey. 😀

I was thinking it has to be in either the L.A. or the N.Y. area, as Ian flies into LAX and JFK. Now that you mention it WD, it has to be Atlantic City.

I’m sure they would honor your seat, regardless of whether it’s a UA code or a BD code. You should be able to get your mileage either way, as I get my mileage on LH flights that don’t have a UA code as well as the ones that do.

Should have banned the YanKs as it was too easy for them :p

Indeed! 😀 Although I’m not even going to make an attempt at the city one, for fear of making an ass of myself.

I dont post very often on this forum, so feel I dont have much of a right to moan about what it has become, but what I am very much aware of is the incredible amount of bitching that goes on here, and I wonder how many other people are put off posting as a direct result of it. Things seem so much more welcoming over on Historic, and I wouldnt miss GD if it disappeared.

    I concurr.

Driving fast in SoCal ? Nah, I got a ticket there for driving 85 on a 55 mph road.
Your speed limit of 75 is very low, we have 120 kmh here, which is a bit faster, and Germany is nice… Many freeways have no speed limit at all.

For the right turn at red lights, I admit that it is nice. And passing cars on the right side too.

Yeah, but driving within the city limits is way more convenient here than it is anywhere else. And the roads are bigger too.

Re. roundabouts, i just saw one in the USA till now, in Carlsbad, CA. And apparently, thet scare the drivers…

Yield signs aren’t very common there either. Too bad, because I hate the stop signs they have for no reason all over the place. As well as their ridiculously low speed limits. But that’s another topic.

    Here’s my score:

    Your Linguistic Profile:

    70% General American English
    15% Dixie
    10% Yankee
    5% Upper Midwestern
    0% Midwestern

What Kind of American English Do You Speak?

We have no roundabouts in Southern California, but I wish we did. They could replace all the 4-way stops. As far as speed limits go, we can drive faster in Southern Cal than anywhere else in the world I’ve been, and I’ve been to a few continents.
