But im sure the attraction of the worlds most busiest airport(im sure it is but i stand corrected if it isnt

World’s busiest INTERNATIONAL Airport, actually. Busiest overall, in terms of pax, is still ATL, by a decent margin.

By the way, what does the little red and white “flood-like” triangle on the upper right hand corner of each post (except mine) represent?

CO probably fly some of the longer flights of any 757, given that they use them for thinner trans-atlantic segments. I wonder how much cost-savings this would be on flights of that length.

What would its designation be, 747-400(advanced)? Or perhaps -400ER(advanced), or neither? -500 series, perhaps? What is a realistic launch date for it, given a few orders?

Per a previous post, I had proposed a meet at AMS. I’ll be there from July 22nd until the 24th. The 23rd would be ideal.

ANA will announce its engine choice for the 7E7 at a later date. It will select from the General Electric GENX, and the Trent 1000 engine from Rolls Royce.

What, Pratts are not an option! INCONCEIVABLE!! 😮

Just what does the 747advanced entail? I was very intrigued by the range capability on the flash media presentation, especially on these city pairs:

    747-400
SIN-YVR. I had no idea the baseline -400 had this capability

    747-400ER
SIN-LAX. Did Boeing ever make a push at selling the ER to SQ for this very purpose?
    JFK-BKK. WOW!

Germanwings is part of LH, aren’t they? What aircraft do they operate?

As an amendment to my last post, although the TG codeshare flight didn’t come up on the electronic timetable, I went to ual.com and seached for an itinerary, and the non-stop TG flight LHR-BKK did come up, as UA9671. Weird how it won’t come up on the timetable.

Was your aircraft still in the old Virgin livery?

If you were going to Hollywood, then you probably initiated your journey on the 10, then hopped on the 101.

The freeway you speak of Allen, is the 110. I’m not familiar with any helipad adjacent to it, but there could be. I would think you could land a helicopter at a number of locations/tops of buildings in downtown L.A. I’ll look out for it next time I’m in the neighborhood.

It can’t be Northwest. Although they do have some older types in their fleet, those were all acquired new, with the exception of the DC-10-30’s and some, but not all, of the DC-9’s were acquired in the Republic takeover.

Wrenchbender, I unfortunately have not been to Victorville. You are correct in that it is only about an hour drive (less if there is not traffic in the Cajon Pass) from me, which makes it worthwhile. I have passed by it countless times on the drive to Vegas. My cousin (BigRedMD-11) and I have talked about going up there, but we haven’t gotten around to it yet. How accessible is it to the viewing public? Can I get some decent shots from the perimeter?
