Probably because in flying or skydiving you don’t have anything linking you to the ground to give you a fixed reference point. I am also scared of heights but love flying including aerobatics.

I have lost count of how many times I have jumped out of a plane  happily though, they were all on the ground at the time πŸ˜€

I think it all started to go downhill when airports forgot they were airports and decided that they were actually shopping malls and I don’t care if they say that rents from shops keep airport charges down, I hate them πŸ™

That reminds me of Aberdeen airport in Scotland. people say duty free is less expensive because its duty free. However I can asure you that most off sales in aberdeen are way way way less expensive than there airports duty free. Norway is something else though. Alcohol in general is so expensive that the locals try and smuggle it in from Sweden. Avarage is between Β£5.00 and Β£7.00 for just less than a pint

Every time my family arrived back in Australia we always end up at the quarantine line, because my granny always bring food.

If you ever come to Norway then don,t bring fresh meat or Rhodedendrons. Strangely enough rhodedendroms over in Norway is a very expensive plant. they pay a fortune for them. In Scotland its a weed and grows everywhere

The last run in I had with stupidity in an airport, just recently again it was Frankfurt. My gate number had been changed 30 mins before my flight. But when i went to the new gate they said that it was not there and that I should contact information. There was a lady waiting back at the old gate with information for many of us who were now starting to get anoyed. She was reading from a paper handout about all the changes. I asked her how old the hand out was and she said she got it 30 mins ago. Anyone who has been around airports knows a lot can change in 30 mins. I called airport flight info only to find out that her information was wrong right enough. All the people on my flight ended up going to three different gates  I wonder if this sounds familiar

I guarentee payment is not a problem for a country like Norway πŸ˜€
The norwegians joke about Scotland having that problem. What they don,t get, Is that Scotland don,t have any money πŸ˜€

i’m perrrfect in everyway baby. Btw, go on wikipedia and do a search for “Spy Magazine” πŸ˜€

I could not find it on Wikipedia,But I found an article through google about just how impossible it would be for santa to do what he says he does. If thats what you are getting at?, then yes totaly hilarious πŸ˜€ See below:

Julenissen flyr hΓΈyt oppe i lufta trukket av Rudolf og alle de andre ganske sΓ₯ spesielle reinsdyrene. Er det virkelig fysisk mulig at Julnissen kan dele ut gaver over hele jorda i lΓΈpet av 24 timer? Of course it is. He fly,s Braatens/SAS dont you people know anything πŸ˜€

It took us longer. Longer to wait for transport, Longer to get to London and then on to East Grimstead. Now we fly to Gatwick with Braatens/SAS. It still saves on time and hassle. Our destination from Gatwick takes 10 mins. But of course it might have helped if I mentioned this earlier and also got the county right  Sorry folks πŸ˜€

The norwegians won,t admit it, But they think like the americans on this point. They are also good at buying things and leaving them lying around. They got F15,s But not enough pilots to fly them? I am still trying to figure out the point behind buying more than we need

You know that maybe you lot should look into these routes a little closer. I know some of you have good deals,But other routes are just plain silly.

An example: Norway to England. Well haugesund-Stanstead

Getting to Haugesund from Stavanger where all the people are at is two tunnels covering 11 kilometres under the sea,One ferry boat and a drive just to get to the airport. So even with dirt cheap flights, You still have to add on your journeys to the airport and back and then all your extra waiting time.

Then Rynair arives at Stansted which is a two hour journey by public transport to London as it is stuck in the middle of the countryside way up in north sussex. There is more travel expences there and back.

We calculated that it would work out krona 400 I think thats about $25 less expensive for us if we took Ryan air. But the round trip would take 8 hrs longer. So if you just have to be one of the few inhabitants of Haugesund or Stansted, Then its a good deal. Otherwize its a joke

Hey, If anyone wants a good look at these airports, Check out Google earth.com

    It’s common with some people.

Airports are too much hassle sometimes, so people prefer planes much more. They’re much more fun too.

PS, should this be in Commercial?

I appologize, You are correct. This should be on the comercial thread. It was my first post here,But I could have checked the menu a bit closer. Maybe someone can move this for me? πŸ™‚

Wow I’m the complete opposite. I dont care about planes but like airports! Once I had to stay in an airport for an extended period of time because of some civil disturbances back home. During that time, I met new people, got a job as a painter, played cards with airport personnel, had conflict with the chief, met an attractive stewerdess, did some translation work of a foreign guy who was accused of having drugs, ate at a Burger King.. and then later leave to meet some Jazz musician.

Jeg lurer pΓ₯ om du er norsk? Or if you are just another american that likes to think he is πŸ˜€ Ronald Reagan thinks he is scottish

Because you’re trying to get through an airport during the Christmas season? πŸ˜€

No Got nothing to do with the season  The thought of not getting my flight or people giving wrong info or cancelations and of course overcrowding are but a few of my reasons. For small airports: The most terrrable for me was Addis Abiba. Those people don,t know there a-s from there elbow. You actualy have to fill in an imigration card on your way out aswell as in to the country. But the place is very poorly signposted. The computer technology they use in bookings is compatable with pentium2 and win95. Malicia presence helps you keep your cool though

The best in small airports has to be Stavanger,Norway. But maybe thats because I live there πŸ˜€
