Foxhound…
ha ha… the X-35 pic sorta looks like a ladybug.
…from the air, you know, while the jets are flying.
oh, i almost forgot. today was Canada Day and we had some people from the Canadian Armed Forces in town participating with activities. on their table outside they had posters of aircraft types from the CAF, including the C-17. then out of nowhere, the RAF ZZ176 Globemaster III took-off and did a fly-by for all the people to see.
ZZ176 is a brand new aircraft. To my knowledge (I stand to be corrected) she has not even been to her new home at RAF Brize Norton yet. I was told that straight from the factory it went into the support role for the Red Arrows tour of North America.
so, i got to see the latest RAF example before our own (Canadian Armed Forces C-17)?? at least i got to see the same plane but with the RAF roundels. sorry about the pics are downsized from my original pics.
“…On July 26 2007, the order for a sixth was confirmed, with delivery in June 2008. The RAF’s 6 C-17 aircraft are serialled ZZ171 to ZZ176.”
i’ve found it from Wikipedia: No 99 (Madras Presidency) Squadron.
sure came a long way. been looking for that ‘famous’ pic of the MiG-29 ’01’ / ’10’ that was intercepted by a Swedish fighter way back during the 80s but can’t find it…
The ultimate ‘Fulcrum’…
…just 8 years too late.

would someone be kind enough to post pics from URL Address above? my laptop keeps getting messages saying “the image cannot be saved or retrieved…”
i managed to save some other Yak-130 images from other sites, but the ones here have got to be the best ones i found.
i was able to finally saved the pics, but used up at least about 2GBs just to get them. same site above, but searching the hard way through Google Images. was worth it, though.
“All that to look for animals? Perhaps they’re testing out the world’s first Air-to-Animal missile system.
Any idea what kind of UAV it will be? Predator, maybe?”
Oh, the irony 😀 😀 😀
Matt
hahaha!! that’s a good one. maybe they should do an Animal Face-Off between a gryfalcon and the Predator. no, make that a polar bear…

just how many Yaks have been ordered so far, along with the M-346?
i only get the message saying “the image cannot be saved or retrieved…” even when i right-clicked / save picture as. other images (other jets other than the Yak-130) i am able to save from the same site, but with this, no luck.
Perhaps there are laws or something that prevent filming of IDF personel that means they have to use actual physical face covers and not let the news crews pixilate thier faces – reason it would make sense is the non pixilated footage would have to exist somewhere in the first place to enable the TV people to add the pixilation, therefore somewhere in some storage room somewhere of some TV company there is no un-pixilated footage to fall into the worng hands – i really dont know that though and that was just a guess but hope you get what i meant.
ok, i understand now. anyways, the topic is the Longbow Apache in the IDF colors. i looked for bigger pictures but couldn’t find any.
i can understand the reality and to protect their identity for their safety. but when interviewed face to face with their helmet on (with the visors down)?? the networks could have just hide their faces…
