never knew how the Voodoo became to be before it became a Voodoo
Yeah but look at those wings…….:diablo:
reminds me of one of the characters from the last X-Men movie, who was it, Juggernaut?!
Many aviation enthusiasts tend to look to the skies regardless of vapour or noise just incase their is something up there, I know cause I do it myself:rolleyes:
suddenly i remember when i was just a kid while back playing pick-up baseball outside with others, one of the kids spotted something like ‘flickering’ lights in broad daylight from the sky. something like a mirror reflecting the sun’s reflection. i thought seeing something like that in broad daylight was something else, and that was during the 80s.
hi everyone, can any aviation expert shed light on the attached image?
taken may 07 ,over west midlands, england with a canon dslr + 200mm telephoto lens,in sunny daytime sky. object was flickering like an arc-welder!; and made zero noise or smoke/vapour trail.sighting lasted 2 minutes.cheers, phil
how did you managed to spot it if it didn’t made any noise or without any vapour trailing?!
‘Outside’ view of the same machine……

like the new engines from the Il-76MD-90…
Deifnitely impressive. Here’s the Mirage 4000 in 1987

Twin engine Mirage G 😎
i like the video, not bad. must have been a big fighter and for it’s size such ease with it’s maneuvaribilty. i must admit the desert scheme sorta doesn’t go well for me to the -4000. must be because the desert scheme goes well better with the Sukhoi Flanker but somehow, i see similarities between the two.
The radar is part of the upgrade. It makes the Su-25 all weather without having to add the expensive Shkval-M electro optical system of the Su-25T and TM.
from the article in the first post….
they should have added the radar on the nose instead.

too bad the XL was never chosen, it would have been nice.
Have only recently started getting back into planes etc since I “grew” out of them and became cool. I have no where to ask my questions since no other mate, family member etc has even a silght interest in them.
So my first question is, why are the cabin lights turned off for night take offs and landings? 😮
If anyone else has some questions like this please post it on here, saves space on the forum dont it.
Cheers Cal.
ever flown with no lights AND no heating inside the plane? for over an hour? mind you, in the middle of winter AND up way north? we took off from Qikiqtarjuaq, NU to Iqaluit, NU non-stop and it was damn cold inside the plane. the heating inside the plane malfunctioned or just didn’t work that night, but the lights still worked after landing. the sound from the BAE 748’s engines couldn’t even drown me to sleep because it was ever cold inside.
What exactly do you mean? Are you using the english version or the russian one?Put one screenshot if you can.
i remember someone posted a drawing from their site to this site, just can’t remember which or who it was. he posted a Eurofighter Typhoon and had all the latest fighters included from the airwar site.
Here are the maybe most detailed J-10 profiles:

… and a Chinese ac-chart in clearer form.

-thanks for sharing. friggin’ nice!!
i don’t know why i don’t really like the Fulcrum doing the Cobra manuever, even though the Fulcrum is my favourite fighter. but when the Flanker, especially the earlier ones, does the Cobra manuever, just blows me away.
back then i saw Flanker as ‘Mario Lemieux,’ an NHL hockey great. both are big in size and both are very flexible and have unexpected surprises, and they both know how to put on a show. as for the Fulcrum, well, good things come in small packages, too.
when a 747 CP Air stop-over to Iqaluit during the 80s, i remember the orange colors. yeah, i think their airlines were painted in orange colors?
anyways, i remember the blue colors from Nordair back then, from the early 737 models. that used to be one of the airlines back then with Iqaluit.
i feel the model’s weapons load-out or the under-wing pylons takes up the whole wings!!! and the pylons seems very draggy (particularly for the heavier arsenals). i think it’s overkill how the weapons load-out representation shows from the model.
don’t get me wrong, the Fulcrum has been one of my favourities but…
