agree with swerve here. Suits their needs and budget, if you haven’t got the money you havent got much choice. I thought the Argentines might have looked to buy the A-4’s out of NZ to add to their own.

All of the nations that have disputed sea’s with China have got to be concerned. They need a group stratergy and group naval ops to make sure that they stand a chance.

China putting out a Aircraft Carrier in the next year for training has got to make you worried. I know that the whole build up of china’s navy is a cause for concern.

C2A Greyhound aboard Charles de Gaulle (June 4th)

In order to ease the logistic and crew flow, two USN C-2A Greyhound are now operating from Hyeres Naval Station to resupply Charles de Gaulle.

I know I have mentioned the UK and France sharing a couple of Greyhounds – but I think the French have learnt further about how important those Greyhounds can be. I wonder if they wont be tempted to try and sort something out in the short term. Logistically they share pretty high levels of cominality with the Hawkseyes don’t they?

We’ve talked in the past about the UK and France getting together to operate the Hawkeye in a pool.

Today in the sea operations of libya we see that two Geyhounds will be operating off the CDG to help with logistics etc. I have long hoped that the UK would have at least One greyhound for the CVF fleet, but I wonder if that should also be brought into a joint group with the French.

5 Hawkeyes and 2 Greyhounds in the fleet would be very nice.

There is no doubt that they are useful.
