    I believe the wing on show at Coventry is on loan from the RAFM who I think have a set of mainplanes in store somewhere. There are a few props about but I don’t know how many AW Jaguars there are around to hang them off of.

    I was about to say ‘don’t the RAF Museum have parts of a AW Siskin… but

    a: I don’t know what they have
    b: I was doing it from memory, so could have been at fault, but I think it was reported that they were also looking for parts a few years back..
    c: I was beaten to it!

    S1594 was launhed by catapult in Farnborough July 1930

    S1578 was fitted with Floats in 1931/32. Later she was used in catapult trials from Ark Royal (Spithead Sept 32)

    S1616 was temporary at Mount Batten for catapult trials Nov 1932

    I cannot find any capital ship use only aircraft carriers: Glorious, Furious, Courageous and Ark Royal (also Eagle but only Trials)

    OK 3/10 for my English!

    Could do better.. And I have an O level in it as well! tut tut

    Two different sources have said she is having engine runs.. Suffolk is not far from where she was being restored in Essex.. So I think it is true!

    BTW N5518 was chosen as the ID as it was the only Sea Gladiator in Norway (and there is even some doubt in that). There is no guarantee that it is N5518…

    And the Stuka (IIRC) was dropped from the ceiling a number of years ago which obviously caused some damage!

    Like a very heavy landing ??????

    It may well be 790.. If so I still think it is K5745 as K5760 did not arrive on Apollo until 1937 and i think the photo was taken in Canada

    BTW what web site did you find it?

    They may well have code both Ospreys (2 aircraft on board 790 and 791)
