True, but i took “This aircraft is not currently flying.” to mean, that it could be made airworthy without a huge rebuild.
That could mean a whole lot of things – Has the airframe been completed to flying standards, but no avionics etc – As someone very knowleagble on Spitfires says – When the airframe finished only 50% complete
Does it have an engine that has been re-built
Anyone serious enough to want this will send an expert in to validate what needs to be done to make to take a ‘not currently flying’ machine to a flying machine
remember thsi aircraft last flew in 1957, has been on static display and under restoration by at least 2 individuals in the last 10 years
Paul
I think that depends upon how much of the restoration of TE330 undertaken to date has been to documented flying standards
Did hear a rumour that someone (don’t know who) was doing a ‘The Hurricane The History’ Type of thing but it may just be that….. a rumour
I think it remains unidentified

British Aeroplane Crash In France
M.P and Wife Hurt
From our Correspondent
Le Touquet June 26
Mr J R Robinson MP for Blackpool, Mrs Robinson, his wife
and Mr Robert Morrison, the pilot were injured this morning
when the plane in which they were flying to London crashed near
Le Touquet airport.
The machine had taken off shortly before noon, but as it was
passing over the River Canche at about a mile from the airport
it nosedived and crashed into the mud near the racecourse.
Mr and Mrs Robinson, and the pilot Mr Morrison were taken to the local
hospital and later in the afternoon were transferred to a Boulogne
nursing home. Mr Robinson has a broken leg, but none of the party was
seriously injured.”
All we need now is the Type and Registration – Date date ought to narrow it down
I hope you get that pay rise now 😉
In the actual version of the Dutch register, the registrations PH-PLI and PH-PXL are absent.
The registrations are only reserved and the Aeroplane article says ‘reserved’ as well
Ant I think these are the two that are going to France over on Wixs there was a thread a few weeks back if you type in P-40 going to France you should find the thread.
I don’t think so
these 2 registrations were first reserved back in October 2004 to C. Munk
PH-PLI P-51 Mustang to C. Munk reservation on 22.10.04
PH-PXL Curtiss P-40 to C. Munk reservation on 22.10.04
I think they must have been missed the first time around in Aeroplane – I know who the owner is but not what the previous identities are! – Anyone else her have an idea
Pat1968
How did I miss this the first time

What serial is that one?
Paul
🙁
Where is she headed, back to Russia?
Will she NOT be at Legends then?
Gower went missing in late July 1885 – all information I have seen indicates he was on his own
