I prefer get up close and personal!
The best service I have recently enjoyed was on WestJet from Vancouver (pic) to Toronto. The girls were constantly suppling drinks and snacks through the 4 hour flight, which seemed to go by quicker in some way. They were very cheerful, too; what a contrast to Ryanair! I believe WestJet is a low-cost airline but they have managed to retain some of the “old style”.
At 5 per day that sounds about right! The fighter production rate was probably 3 times that or more! Especially in Russia and the USA.

I call them Dzus fasteners!
Great movie, although unfortunately I didn’t receive any sound.
Please don’t keep me in suspense – what is the true identity of the Anson II? I suspected it was a composite, like so many of the Bolingbrokes in Canada.
My experience of this flight is described here:

You mean this one, Mike?
B-17 Sentimental Journey
Here’s a bit more detail while she was at Sidney, and a couple of views at Abbotsford, which for photographers was a disaster, we had the sun in our eyes all day and not a long enough crowd line to get other angles.
3/4 scale Spitfire at Sidney, B. C.
Funny you should say, that, DazDaMan, I just happened to take this one . . .
Sorry, Dave, I’m not the person to be able to tell you that, at least at the moment – this incident-packed 3 week trip resulted in 700 photos and there was little time for detailed information gathering, we were on the move all the time, covering I believe about 7000 miles by air, bus and train, and visiting about 20 different museums, air bases and air shows!
In better condition than this one! At the Reynolds Aviation Museum, Alberta “reserve collection”!
More from Sidney, B.C., Canada
Here are a few more, mostly taken “round the back”
