There are several different aircraft shown with these markings on this web site:

Perhaps you can download the photos and measure them to see if they have the same heights, although they at first sight seem to be of different sizes.
I feel sorry for the poor people who’ve had their legs chopped off!
Just what I wrote – “easy peasy” in Swedish, pronounced “let som en plet” . . .
It only took me 2 years to learn the basics, and another year of daily practice!
After 30 years I’m still immediately identified as English as soon as I open my mouth here in Sweden! Mind you, I’m a slow learner.
French is a doddle compared to Swedish
Swedish lesson number 1
Lätt som en plätt = easy peasy
:p
Would anyone like me to be their receptionist? I may be 60 but there’s plenty of life in the old dog yet!
I shall visit the Duxford/Cambridge area the first 3 days of this week looking for somewhere to live and assessing job prospects in case I am daft enough to sell my Swedish flat and move to the UK. When for example would be the optimum time for me to visit that Red Lion pub that features so much on here? And where is it, if I may ask?
The only thing I learned after 34 years of marriage to two different wives (now both ex) is that women can do at least 5 things simultaneously, so you’re having an easy time of it, Anna!
(Must get this tongue out of my cheek before something nasty hits me)
There were plenty of Bomber Command Lincolns with big serials on the side like that, but for me it’s a first to see that black colour scheme and serial placement on a Mosquito!
Narrow, winding and with lots of farm tractors and underpowered trucks. Of course, I’m biased, having been stopped for “speeding” in my foreign registered car wth no radar in sight – the cop just wanted a few dollars!
Anyway, my point is that unless you can fly into Pardubice, be prepared to spend quite a lot of time getting there!
Prague, Warsaw and Vienna are the “nearest” cities, but it’s a heck of a long way from any of those – I’ve driven in the area and the roads are not exactly the best, either!

Hi duxfordhawk, this’ll show you where to stick the bits back on!

Hi, Sonnenflieger – I’m close enough, but won’t go – I’ll be busy packing for Oshkosh and my flight in the Canadian Lancaster!
True, T5, the only time I’ve been clobbered in 30 years of frequent flying with lots of baggage was by the afore-mentioned Ryanair! Check-in staff for scheduled carriers are more understanding!
I think it mostly depends on the mood of the check-in staff – be nice to them!
Lots of pix here, Andy, including that one with the Baffins (see my title?!)

Sorry to hog your thread, newboy!
Furious and Baffins
Here’s one, Andy, just for you!
