Do any of you experts know what its original RAF or Saudi serial was (if any)?
The reason I brought up the question of copyright is that due to my job I know several illustrators who do this kind of work for vehicle manufacturers. It can take months to produce one cutaway, for which the illustrators are paid quite large amounts for their work. I cannot conceive that having laid out so much money the manufacturers who commissioned and paid for the work will be happy to see it given away (without even being credited) on the Internet!
Sorry, but I think it was not such a good idea.
Take the train, Anna!
(Are there any trains left in the UK away from the main line routes?)

This Tornado production list shows that there were lots and lots of Tornados around by November 1984!
There’s that Hiscock fella again, always in the bl**dy way!
(La Ferte 2005)
Seem to recognise some of the punters, as well, bet they’re always in the Red Lion on a certain Saturday night!
Isn’t there a copyright issue here?
Could the next Legends be held here at Säve perhaps? I remember going to one at Cannes in the south of France many years ago, which suffered from none of the features complained about here, so at least one Legends has been held abroad! I even got shown around the inside of the much lamented white Plane Sailing Catalina.
Strange that those of you who are lucky enough to even have the opportunity to attend one of the world’s best flying displays bitch and moan as soon as it’s over. Do you realise that some of us would give our eye teeth to be there?
Incidentally, if a photo was taken of the raffleites (should that be Raphaelites) at the Red Lion, could someone please post a picture – I bet you enjoyed yourselves there at least!
That PR Spitfire underside really blows my frock up, Anna, thanks!
Yes, Anna, spring-cleaning has commenced – some new IKEA furniture too!
Managed to assemble the TV table incorrectly and had to dismantle and start all over again, but that’s par for the course for IKEA (and I write and translate instruction books!!!)
Is that “No Guts No Glory” in picture 2?
Stands
I was very impressed with the two giant fully portable stands provided by the Swedish Army for their display recently. I haven’t counted how many people they could accommodate, but every single person had a perfect view. I dare say they cost a bit, but if Duxford got a couple of these the number of complaints would possibly fall to zero!
Of course the Swedish display was free to enter, since we taxpayers want to see what we get for our money, but that part of it could never happen in the UK these days – I seem to remember back in the 1950s however we had free entry to Battle of Britain displays!
Excellent – almost like being there myself!
Many thanks for sharing.
Very nice, Anna, not murky at all!
pok
I would dearly like to be there but must settle for Reno in September instead – hence I’m working now to save up for that trip.
Big stepladder!
