Lancaster exhaust
The only picture I could find that clearly shows the exhaust stain underneath (at least for the inboard engine) is this detail of VM703 with Ghosts fitted outboard.
The stain sweeps downwards back from the exhaust along the side of the necelle and possibly extends into the small wing area behind the nacelle too, although it seems to be heading downwards rather more than backwards.
Thanks, Airband1, taken with my Minolta Dimage A1 with just 7x zoom, needed a bit of enlargement in Photoshop!
Out of the terminal on the first floor, cross the footbridge and take the lift to the top of the car park building. Definitely no seating there! I guess in the winter it would be cold and windy; even in the summer half an hour was enough for me! There are only a couple of strategic places up there where the runway is visible – I found them at the eastern end.
However I am sure that Ren knows much better spotting spots!!
Glasgow photo
I took this one from the top of the multi-storey car park at Glasgow airport – the only place I could find while in transit there this summer from which I could see the aircraft! I also wandered around with my camera in the terminal for an hour or so without being accosted.
I will be at Prestwick on Friday and hope to take as many as possible between arriving from Gothenburg at 13:30 and departing to Dublin at 20:30.
Any tips for good spotting places there?
“get in touch with the museum”
How?

East Fortune Phantom
Here it is
For me as a complete ignoramus without any knowledge of piloting, the following is an interesting site which helps to explain a few things including QFE:

I had always thought that you set for zero when on the ground before departure, but now I realise that the airfield might be a few thousand feet above sea level!
I shall be travelling to Dublin in a couple of weeks time, and look forward to seeing 1,800 aircraft parked there – it sounds like AMARC! (Ref. post #1)
. . . or perhaps even cogitate . . .
The Draken appears to be an ex-Danish Air Force F-35. Does anyone know how it ended up at Grainthorpe?
Breguet Deux Ponts restaurant
At last! I can reveal my French secret – “Le Breguet” restaurant not far from La Ferte Alais, at the Aerodrome de Chaubuisson, 77610 Fontenay-Tresigny. I was there with AIB and Mike J and even managed to snap the owner, M. Charpentier, I believe.
The aircraft is F-BACC, and the coffee is great! Unfortunately we didn’t have time for a meal, but I am sure it is well worth a visit. There is a swimming pool too! 40 km from Paris, off the N4.
IIRC this was on an earlier thread and completely refuted.
After massaging that photo of the Widgeon with Photoshop, this is what I came up with . . .
MS.230
Sure looks like a Morane Saulnier MS.230
