    sukarno-my part in his downfall

Towing Aussie Sabres out of the mud beside the runway after skidding off it!Picking up the drunken off shift in the land rover and driving them back to thier billets. The real enemy,”Victoria bitter” and “Tiger tops”,the”crazy horse saloon”in Penang,I could go on but I am sure there are others who had a more adventurous war than me!

    Buried parts

I lived in a small town on the edge of Cannock chase as an early teen,I was given by some gypsies camped near us two black boxs, about 6 inches long by 3 wide, one had two knobs that could be set at speed ,the other I cannot recall,I was told that there was lots of “stuff”like this buried up on the chase.Sorry dont have them,as a schoolboy I dismantled them to see what was inside and mum threw them out! They looked like autopilot parts? The only RAF place near was RAF Hednesford which I believe was a national service intake depot.

    B of B models

I was only on the set at Duxford for one day ,I seem to remember some full size replica spitfires with a car starter motor driving a mock prop with just a smple seat in the cockpit.I seem to remember pushing them around into position at some stage during the day!The only flying that day was a twin seat Bouchon 109 that took up some film VIP person who was sick all over the cockpit!
