I think i saw an e-mail on one of the mailing groups that said it was going to be delayed till May.
I am unable to confirm this either way though.

A few Italian airlines keep their fleets or at leats parts of them on the Irish register, such as Meridiana, Alitalia, Air One, Blue Panorama for example. Other airlines have as well such as Transaero.
I know that the Irish government has found a loop hole in the way EU taxation is managed which is causing many global companies to open a small office in Eire purely for purchasing.
I guess it will be cheaer to buy your aircraft via Ireland but to avoiud the tax, keep them on the EI register.
On the other hand i may be talking b0**0cks.

Still struggle to do GLA – SFB return in June / July for less than £400.00. That is quite alot for No Frills.
Shame.

I read somewhere that Flyglobesapn was looking at Orlando and possibly Miami and flights would be in a twin class setup of No Frill and Low Frills.
The prices for No Frills were very cheap for a trip across the pond.
I think we should keep an eye on what happens with these as a few US spotting trips appear on the horizon from Scotland.

I have set up base camp on the grass by the road at the 26 threashold a few times during 05. Was not questioned once.
From the south terminal take the emergency stairs from the domestic arrivals (next to easyjet area). At the bottom you will find yourself in the tunnel under the terminal. urn right and walk along to the threashold.
I would guess it could be a nightmare in this weather as you are fully exposed with no cover available.

PMN,

Lets hope they rotate the aircraft on the MAN-HKG route at a good rate, so that we can get them all logged before they stop.

Hi guys.
Hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas.
Remember that low altitude wind is also taken into account. Wind veers with height or backs at the surface depending on whether you are climbing or descending. A tail wind at 1000 AGL may be more decisional than a light and variable surface wind.
I read somewhere that most localised winds in Britain come from the southwest (82% ish ?), thus LHR 27, LGW 26 and MAN 24 would always primarily be used.
I suppose though when you think about it, all of our wind comes from the southwest due to the coriolis effect of the earth spinning. it then curls anti-clockwise in the northern hemisphere and gets broken up by weather patterns and land masses.
Oh no, not another bloody turkey sandwich.

Maybe simply an enhanced variant of the existing engine from the manufacturer?

I dont think the B752 has a place in the long term plans of Finnair as they try to off load them as charter wet leases when ever they can. The MDx’s are becoming obsolete too with the A319s and EMB170’s in the fleet.

CH5 news just reported:
Aircraft arrived at MIA from South America. Passenger said something about a bomb and ran to front of plane trying to open a bag. Air Marshall fired 5 shots injuring PAX.
Miami air space now closed.

How big is your case Chris?
I could start a starvation plan today.

Great shots for the conditions. I left home at 4 to witness the departure as well. Amazing how quiet it was for its size.
Still managed to get back to MAN in time to see the Garuda / MyTravel hybrid 330 depart as well.
Can anyone from EMA identify the UPS 763F and Lufthansa M11F that departed around 6?

EDIT: Looking at the AirFoyle website there is lots of good information on the 225 including some corporate PowerPoint files: http://www.airfoyle.co.uk/services/an225.asp?tab=aircraft
dc10fan,
I beleive that FRA was the first international airport on the globe to have a 380 ready gate, thus it was chosen for the development trials.
