Watched Unbroken last night while I enjoyed the film I do feel there were a couple of grumbles that could have been easily sorted out before release but overall very well made considering the true story it was based on. The 1st grumble is when the three survivors are in the dinghy’s for 28 days only the ginger nut had what I would have called adequate facial growth the other two seems to have hardly any, what they had seemed a little to well groomed with makeup trying to hide the lack of growth.
The second was at the end trying to copy the original photo (That is shown in the end credits) of Zamparini hugging I assume his mother alongside what looks like a B-25, this was replaced for some reason with what looked like a Beech C-45. Considering that the B-25 are sill extent especially in the US why when the cost of standing next to an original would be negligible compared to the C-45. I know that artist licence is present and that films are merely the directors interpretation of the source material but when it’s a true biopic surely the director has a duty to be correct in all detail ? Apart from that I enjoyed it…:eagerness:

Watched the Sci-Fi Drama Exmachina last night (Sky Movies) a really good watchable story about A.I. without the myriad of Cgi that often accompanies Sci-Fi these days, just great acting from the cast with a good ending well recommended…:eagerness:

Can’t we all just wish Mr Cundall good luck with his quest ? If they are found then good on him, if not well still just pat him on the back and wish him well on his next quest. Without people like Mr Cundall who actually put their own money where their mouth is (Along with some backers) I would say we wouldn’t have a lot of discovered and restored aircraft in museums or indeed flying today or indeed many of the items that have been collected or written about the subject of aviation of which we are all fans.
My own view is obviously there are untold undiscovered treasures of every type around the world and until somebody actually announces with pictures to back up that claim nobody will believe whoever discovers whatever. We should just be grateful that these people actually have the fortitude to follow their beliefs and allow us the privilege of becoming part of their discovery by viewing whatever when presented with the end result if successful.
I say again if nothing is found then just pat whoever about whatever on the back and wish them well. Lets all be totally honest these for want of a better word (Indiana Jones’s) are after all doing what most of us would like to be part of but cannot afford the Time/Energy and mainly the Money to do. All should be applauded for their efforts not ridiculed because their ideas and actions are to whoever viewed as a waste of time so lead on McDuff as the saying goes…;)

I watched ‘Big Eyes’ (Available via Sky Movies) last night was a good enjoyable film based on the true story of those famous paintings with those massive eyes that everybody must have seen by now. Watched another low budget horror called ‘Exists’ filmed from one of the victims point of view with video cam and go-pro camera work. In wiki it describes the film as a found footage film but being as it is from the sole survivors main point of view IMHO that’s wrong.
