I cannot help wondering whether either of these gentlemen have even seen a Yak-141.
But back in the 1980s there were even some poor demented individuals who claimed that the Tu-144 was a copy of the Concorde. One even assured me that he had been told this by a “top” intelligence source.
Hi All,
Hotshot, I agree with what you put matey……:eagerness:
Mercurius,
The answer to your question is Yes! and in my opinion it is what I described it as. Watch the video below and read the info that is underneath the video that should at least make you question your belief at least ? We all have opinions just like noses and they are all different, you have your opinion I have mine lets just agree to disagree yet I will forward this quote from the info provided though…..:eagerness:
“The Yakovlev Yak-141 (NATO reporting name Freestyle), also known as the Yak-41, is a supersonic vertical takeoff/landing (VTOL) fighter aircraft designed by Yakovlev. It did not enter production.[1]
Following the announcement by the CIS on September 1991 that it could no longer fund development of the Yak-41M, Yakovlev immediately entered into discussions with several foreign partners who could help fund the program (a tactic they were also pursuing for development of the Yak-130 trainer, which was eventually developed in partnership with Aermacchi of Italy). Lockheed Martin, which was in the process of developing the X-35 for the US Joint Strike Fighter program, quickly stepped forward, and with their assistance 48-2 was displayed at the Farnborough Airshow in September 1992. Yakovlev announced that they had reached an agreement with Lockheed-Martin for funds of $385 to $400 million for three new prototypes and an additional static test aircraft to test improvements in design and avionics. Planned modifications for the proposed Yak-41M included an increase in STOL weight to 21,500 kg (47,400 lb). One of the prototypes would have been a dual-control trainer. Though no longer flyable, both 48-2 and 48-3 were exhibited at the 1993 Moscow airshow. The partnership began in late 1991, though it was not publicly revealed by Yakovlev until 6 September 1992, and was not revealed by Lockheed-Martin until June 1994.”

Hi All,
The sooner they scrap that 8astardised Yak Freestyle based copy the better, said it before and I’ll say it again those concerned could have developed the Harrier further, just trying to run before they can walk simple….:(
Geoff.
Hi All,
Listening to ‘Sammy Hagar-Standing Hampton’ album at the moment I would say the most recognisable track from the album is ‘Heavy Metal’ part of the animated film of the same name. Videos:- 1st Album version and 2nd Live from 2015……

Hi All,
I bet this W4nker walks around with a cage surrounding him at times for fear of being carried off and eaten alive by that really scary predatory bird the Wren.
This guy really deserves a kick up the backside totally inappropriate action and (Pardon the pun) overkill of a situation that should have had the chap who shot the cat fist explaining why he never called a vet at the same time as calling 911…..:stupid:
Geoff.

Hi All,
The explosion of a German ship, the British attacked the stormtroopers ‘Bofayter’ (Bristol Beaufighter). Presumably, the attack of the German convoy, part of which is embodied in the picture, occurred off the southern coast of Norway and the North Sea.

Hi All,
Was there no security at the time ? I just cannot get over how some people (Allegedly aviation enthusiasts) who visit the Museums that need all the cash they can get just to survive let alone purchase items for display help themselves to items without a care as to what they represent absolutely disgusting..
Geoff.
Hi All,
hamden98,
Yes I would have thought either that or possibly sabotaged by retreating Germans or the Russians nicked them and used them for whatever ? As you say though the once proud German nation firmly dejected after the reality of defeat sets in realising what they believed in was a pipe dream.
Geoff.
Hi All,
I was thinking about the question of the tanks posture is and have come across a similar photo to what CD has posted. In my humble opinion it is an optical illusion a making the casual observer think the back end is knackered. If you look from the rear to the front, the sloping side armour is deeper at the rear than the front, the rear end is also angled. The front drive wheel is raised well above the rear most track wheel taking all this into account the old chaps Panther looks fine to me at least…..
Geoff.

Hi All,
1st-The woman should have followed the advice given in the replies, though to be honest alleged friends of this nature should have been given short shrift as they are obviously not true friends and she would be well shot of them.
2nd- It’s quite typical of the modern generation that have no manners and are greedy, let alone the stars of today flashing their wealth around as if money is no object. These so called A-listers etc.etc. are forgetting that most only dream of having a free from worry lifestyle. They forget they are in the public eye influencing people from all backgrounds thinking that is the everyday lifestyle millions have when the reality is often the opposite in 99% of the time….:(

Hi All,
Just started ‘Stephen King’s – The Tommy Knockers’ 1988 edition. While walking in the woods near the small town of Haven, Maine, Roberta (Bobbi) Anderson, a writer of Wild West-themed fiction, stumbles upon a metal object that turns out to be a protrusion of a long-buried alien spacecraft. Once exposed, the spacecraft begins to release an invisible gas into the atmosphere that gradually transforms people into beings similar to the aliens who populated the ship. The transformation, or “becoming,” provides them with a limited form of genius which makes them very inventive but does not provide any philosophical or ethical insight into their inventions. The spacecraft also prevents those affected by it from leaving town, provokes psychotic violence in some people, and causes the disappearance of a young boy, David Brown, whose older brother Hilly teleports him to the planet referred to as Altair 4 by the Havenites.
Three books in one but I enjoyed it over 500 pages….:eagerness:
