    Hi All,
    Rob,
I accept your apology, while at the same time I hope you can accept mine. I have obviously taken what you said personally when in fact I assume you were just making a comment generally. I assure you and others I have never advocated throttling an aircraft to within an inch of it’s life just to please the crowd that is sheer madness. If an aircraft is capable of doing whatever in a flying routine without jeopardising the airframe and the Aircrew or Pilot, that is a matter for those who look after the aircraft and the temporary custodians of that aircraft who then allow the public to view it display at air shows. I would very much prefer a sedate routine of a very rare aircraft than watch it perform with the chance of the airframe life being used up before it’s time and then spend the rest of it’s life as a static.

As far as rolling the Vulcan it was merely a hypothetical what if simply because of the aircrafts very last flight, plus the fact it has never been rolled officially since Roly Falk rolled it at Farnborough. I will admit I am guilty of opening my gob before thinking though, I was aware of the ban on how vintage aircraft operated in spite of the tragic events of Shoreham Air show yet I still asked the question I was in no way suggesting it should be done or ought to be done simply because it is possible as Mr Falk demonstrated, if you like another way of putting it was my fantasy got up and ran off into the distance and left me standing…..:stupid:
