Nine chapters into Starman by Paul Trynka and enjoying it. I have never been a massive Bowie fan except I like Ashes To Ashes when it came out.
I always thought he was a star from the outset, or maybe because I grew up in 70’s leaving school in ’76’ it could be he was always around ?
Reading this book shows how he actually really struggled in the early days, one thing he had on his side that very few keep and that was a self belief that he would succeed no matter what life threw at him.
If your a Bowie fan I recommend this as a must read.

Just started The Secret Speech by Tom Rob Smith, so far so good although the start was a bit iffy to me, but then my tiny brain can’t handle anything to intellectual.. 
The Secret Speech is the second novel in a trilogy by British author Tom Rob Smith; it was released in April 2009. The book features a repeat appearance of Leo Stepanovich Demidov, the protagonist of Smith’s first book, Child 44. The Secret Speech is a further exploration of the Soviet Union Joseph Stalin created.

I watched The Midnight Sky 2020 over the crimbo period only available on Netflix... 
Different to what I thought it would be but if your a greeny you’ll love it, the one thing it has made me think of buying the novel as a result. George plays his role well opposite his imaginary daughter (Caoilinn Springall), while the film flicks between the spaceship returning and earth and Clooney’s panic to ward them off.

Just started The Next 100 Years by George Freeman. Bearing in mind he published the book in 2009 it will be interesting to see exactly how his thoughts about how the world would cope in the coming years, through the various trials and tribulations that we have all experienced over the last ten years have come to pass and indeed currently experiencing, along with what he thinks of the future world events in a wide sphere of world wide influences.
The Next 100 Years is a 2009 book by George Friedman. In the book, Friedman attempts to predict the major geopolitical events and trends of the 21st century. Friedman also speculates in the book on changes in technology and culture that may take place during this period. (Courtesy of Wiki)

Four chapters into Scott And Amundson by Roland Huntford so far very detailed exploring the life Amundson so I expect the book to be the same apparently when first published it was controversial with some of the content.

Just started The Last Wish ( A tie in and introduction to the Witcher Netflix series based on the books of Andrzej Sapkowski ). I loved the series on Netflix great escapism and I am really looking forward to the 2nd if it views like the 1st.. I have bought all the books in the series and so far have not been disappointed and highly recommend if your into Sci-Fi/Fantasy.

Decided to watch Harry And The Hendersons 1987 (Via Netflix). I have been watching http://www.youtube.com/user/proguide66 channel and listening to his sasquatch stories (Not the bullshit TV series) it gave my interest a prod. The last time I watched this film was when my daughter wanted to watch as a youngster, a bit dated these days but still funny in all the right places and like all films it’s down to the individual and whether they are (funny in this particular case) whatever, you like what you like and that’s it…..

One for the petrol heads this time, I watched Steve McQueen’s Le Mans 1971 (Via BBCi – Available until 22/09).
