As always great work by those who restore the various aircraft in particular this being the Barracuda, always like reading the comments on their Facebook
updates in particular funny ones, i.e. from April the 13th – A bonus was a display by the Sea Fury. The pistons and con rods managed to stay connected to the crankshaft so that was a second bonus.…:D

Hi All, DUNKIRK 2017 (Via SKY Cinema) The film is based around Operation Dynamo with as the director freely admits a little artistic/historic licence
thrown in i.e. To make the film audience distinguish between Luftwaffe and RAF aircraft the German aircraft had the nose cowling painted yellow when
in reality this never happened till after the operation as I am sure most on this forum already know.
I enjoyed the film for what it was a tribute to those involved. Personally I would have liked to have seen a fourth viewpoint from the forces fighting the
rear-guard action allowing the evacuation to be completed. If you view it as a war film and get over the minor inaccuracies over true facts you should be
ok with it like I was.

Nothing outside on the Google maps satellite so I can only guess they are both indoors…..;)
While looking for swift images I did come across this image below and shows that although the outer restoration is very good under the bonnet so to
speak is a very different story and has made me more appreciative of the work restorers even more. Obviously if time and money no object I assume
all the inner workings of an aircraft would be restored to a reasonable standard for those who would like to see all the aircraft in it’s entirety restored just
short of airworthiness ?
It does indicate the actual amount of work that is required when taking these idols of ours apart then returning them into the varying stages of restored
preservation whether it be cosmetic or airworthy that sometimes we all forget at times from the smallest of parts to the major parts all in all I applaud
anybody who takes these projects on especially with ltd time and money, I thank you all…..:applause:
Hi All, John – Not an obsessive but I do like them we have had four all having now passed away and still loved members of the family just like our Dogs. I don’t know about a Jonah ? but you could look at it in another way, any the vessel/crew that had it on board would always be found if anything happened to
said vessel, a good luck charm if you like.

I will never forget a chap in hospital who my neighbour suggest I say hello to as he hardly got any visitors while he was in the next bed. He had the job of
finding a safe route through the mine fields and obstacles on the beaches, a very brave man in my estimate as were they all!
