Hi All,
Personally I think it looks lovely and all who put the time and effort in from the boss down should all be appreciated for the completion of a good looking aircraft back to airworthiness…..:applause::eagerness::cool:

Top and bottom of it is we are all for the most just observers of somebody else’s work, at the end of the day they have the right to complete their project
how they seem fit after all they not only do this for themselves but our enjoyment and appreciation as aviation enthusiasts.

While we may have a right to criticize we should also bear in mind that those who complete these projects are the ones actually keeping history alive and
do it because of their enjoyment restoring whatever aircraft for themselves never mind others enjoyment which I am sure they also consider, whether it
be to static or airworthy standard.

The simple thing is to like or dislike if you like it give a positive comment, if you don’t keep any comment as a suggestion or PM those who post threads
about their projects I am sure that constructive criticism would be taken on board instead of putting someone’s nose with a possibility of it affecting future
projects being kicked into touch.

As far as I am concerned I can’t comment in a negative way about such things as I am not involved in the industry and if honest it should be left to those
who are to leave negative comments as they obviously know what they are talking about. No harm in liking whatever but just remember that a negative
comment, feedback could have an unforeseen effect on those who think they are doing a good job…..:rolleyes:

At this time of year I usually try to clear a slot in my schedule for a ‘seasonal’ scene, inspired by the low sun and autumn/winter hues all around us. These invariably end up being Bomber Command subjects as the bleak airfields tend to suit winter scenes whereas fighters tend to feel more at home in summer
skies! So I’m half-way through this year’s painting. It’s another Lancaster at dispersal but this one will be ready to go, props turning, chocks away and bomb doors closed. Here’s a short video of progress so far using timelapse and conventional film, the painting should be complete by 16th November so look out for the second part after then along with details of prints etc. Incidentally, I’m planning to keep the Lanc pretty generic as you can’t see the squadron codes, but if any collector fancies the original I’d be happy to add specific markings/nose art to suit. Canvas size is 44″ x 20″. Just get in touch. More info on my website.

The second part of my timelapse work-in-progress video for the new painting ‘Time to Go’. It depicts a Lancaster of 460 Squadron, (ED664 ‘A Aussie’) just about to release the brakes and head for Berlin during the autumn of 1943. This is my own little tribute to an old friend of mine, Ted Groom who flew a lot of his first tour aboard ED664.
