I enjoy discussing this subject. I was asked once to act as devils advocate and present an opposite view pointing out reasons why it was completely false and I did it quite well and almost convinced my self. But I do believe in spite of the non-evidence. I have to go out now but would like to return to this later if you would like to continue to share views and comments. If the mods close it down I will take the hint.

Don’t forget that the Gospels were written well after the events and it is unproven by whom they were written. So that everything pertaining to the story of Christ is probably a mixture of hearsay and myth. Good stories though, if you like that sort of thing. There was certainly no love lost between Romans and Jews so it was a hotbed for stories.

I understand that the first Gospels were written within 70 years of the events happening. The people who did write them wrote them as an accurate record of the events.

If I wrote on here or even in a book that the Wyvern was powered by a merlin v6, there would be a flood of replies shooting me down. Do you not think it is possible that the same applies to the stories of Jesus and what happened to him, ie those stories would have not continued very long certainly not 2000 + years.

Would that be the first time the front of a jet engine has run hot?

I live in my own world so tell me has it or will it be linked to car sat navs to help you recognise buildings near to where you want to call so that you can drive with more confidence in a strange area?

I am just pleased that this is being discussed on this Forum at this time.
As has been expressed before I believe but I accept that others do not or even feel the need to have a faith.
I am beginning to feel that there are campaigners with access to the media who would appear to be activily striving to remove any sence that faith should be allowed to exists. No live and let live.

But my list

1/ Those drivers in a slow moving queue of traffic who leave 5,6,7,8,9even10 car spaces between them and the next car in front. Do they not realise they are making the line of traffic longer and the previous junction is jambed up because following cars can’t clear the juncture because of their behaviour.
And its not just one there are ususlly half a dozen.

2/ Those drivers who always drive at 5-10 mph less than the speed limit.
and they seem to have decided that they can cause maximum annouance by staying in the overtaking lane but not overtake anything.
otherwise I am quite at peace with the world oh except for all the previous items other posts have mentioned.

I now try to take 5 minutes before I set off and think They have paid their road tax and ins. and I can’t change it it’s life so “just be patient” as my better half reminds me.
