“Staff members helped her catch her flight after she was swept off to the baggage handling center.”

Is this one case where the luggage arrived but the passenger didn’t?:dev2:

Is to save stress on the airframes? Perhaps a display pilot could explain?

I would love to be able to buy into all this “our police, intelligence and security services are brilliant” But I can’t without wanting a bit more substance to go on.
    After WMD’s.
    After 45 minutes flying time.
After Shooting first and killing a man going about his own business on a tube.
After blundering into a house and wounding a man.

It all smacks of spin to me.

We will have to wait for the trials to find out how many bomb materials have been found.
We will have to wait to see how many of these 24 people are actually proved guilty.
That’s always presuming they are not extradited to Guantamino Bay before the trials.

If any one out there can help my lack of faith then please do.

Eh? is that plain white van is outside again?

Were any liquid bombs discovered during todays up heavals?

If there was a liquid bomb in hand luggage that is now in the hold, how is that safer?
Ah of course all the liquid bombs can only be triggered physically by the chap or chappess holding the bomb. Plus of course the key fob trigger will be in the hold with it.

And also if you were a dedicated bomber you would drink the babies drink even if it tasted fowl.

I hope there is a bit more background news tonight.

And this still has not convinced me that ID cards are the answer.

I also wondered if some of these post should be moved to a general discussion?

We (my brother and my son) reguarly attended the Fighter meets, Great Warbirds, Mildenhall and Biggin Hill.
There was one occasion at West Malling when it was raining and murky. Some determined open cockpit types flew but not a lot else made it. Then out of the murk Sally B appeared which cheered us up and I just admired the dedication of the pilot who just did not want to dissapoint.

At work and other get togethers with non aviation enthusiasts there are three displays which always get mentioned. The Red Arrows, The Harrier and the Vulcan.
Think of the boost a flying Vulcan would give to other restoration projects. If they can do it with the Vulcan then we can do our project it’ll only cost half of that. Go get the sponsors.
If you can keep your head …..
A flying Vulcan would have tremendous Cudos. Just think of the advertising messages those enoumous wings can carry. Red Bull would be there like a shot.
    See be positive.
If man hadn’t dreamed of flying ….
I would like to get all those wingers in the middle of the runway and fill the vulcans bomb bay with flour bags.. er sorry there are too many starving to do that…oh dear have I inadvertantly started another thread?
exscuse spelling grammar etc. its late.

You are correct-I dont work in aviation. I have to look up all the acronyms used on these threads. Still I am learning. I would add that we always check-in well in time and keep a constant eye on the departure screens and an ear for the tannoy just so that we dont miss it.

    Now I am curious.
Watching “easyjet” TV programm I have always taken the airlines view that late arrivals can not be taken on because of all the calculations that have been done with the load they have got.
Therefore the foregoing replies suggest that is not strictly true.
Also it looks like another case of the airlines are quite happy to take your money and you but your luggage is no concern of theirs. If the flight is overbooked thats just too bad take it or leave it. Why didnt the airline calculate how many passengers and their luggage would have to be removed to allow all the remaining passengers to have all their luggage.
Is it just me or is this country developing a creeping sickness where the words “provide a service” are being forgotten?
