Just to add my sixpence worth, I have added a copy of my letter to some MPs.

    Dear Sir,

    Re:- Bombing of Syria

I hope you get to see this before the vote tonight.

Please stop and ask yourself the following questions:-

    1) How many IS / Jihadists, etc. will need to be positively identified as dead to warrant one hospital or one school being bombed by accident i.e. collateral damage 5; 10; 20?
    2) Assuming the buildings where the terrorists are do not carry a sign on the roof saying “IS LIVE HERE” what exactly are being targeted?
    3) Are all the bombs laser guided?
    4) Are there any “iron” bombs i.e. unguided, being dropped?
    5) Laser guided bombs can be directed to destroy a single building as shown repeatedly on the TV. What happens to the buildings next door? Shockwave, shrapnel etc.
    6) Can I, without feelings of sadness or remorse look at damaged Hospitals, Schools, Ambulances and women and children, people I have never met and who have done nothing to hurt me and still think that bombing was the right thing to do?
    7) Their only error is being borne and living in Syria, perhaps unknowingly, next door to a terrorist, is this sufficient reason to cause them disfigurement and add problems to their already problem filled life?

Regarding Mr Hilary Benn’s speech, I did not hear it all but what I did hear I felt it was a good rabble rousing and patriotic speech that should be played anytime there is a need to rouse patriotic feeling and persuade people to go and blow up the guilty and innocents together.
It can literally be reused for any situation.

Of course we can sell weaponry easier when we can add “proved in actual war situations”

… and just before Christmas too.”the season of goodwill to all men”

    Hi
I enjoyed this programme too. I particuarly enjoyed the old film of the white Vulcans with the pilots explaining that the targets were railway junctions etc!

I have enjoyed reading the comments which appears to have been kept quite civil. I’d like to increase the description of those politely asked to leave to include those found guilty of long term taking advantage of their positions, IE child offenders, excessive expenses claimants, and people who vote for immoral laws. That’l do for now its getting late.

Yes thank you Moggy and Mr Webbie. I do take longer and my son has suggested type in word then paste. too.
But its all rubbish what I right most of the time anyway so to be cut off has saved you from it all.

There all good, but I liked the silhouette of the photographers and their tri[pods, also the shadow on the hanger doors.
I like to take photos like that myself when I am out and about, they break up the photos of the same subject and give a feel for being there. Thank you.

I am sorry but I didn’t think the first clip was funny. To quote from other shows I think it’s “too soon”, even though its been 60 odd years. But I must admit I did laugh at Ello Ello which I believe the French didn’t appreciate, so now I can appreciate their point of view. Although ello ello was more farce based, similar to Dad’s Army, which when that was first shown I thought it was a bit silly. Now I can see it as a gentle mickie take on pomposity. Back to the original clip I have given the show a few looks at, to see if it’s improved, but never watched a whole show. I think I can see why it could be funny but can’t help thinking they missed the point. But to be honest I feel that about nearly all the comedy shows, it’s almost like they no not what they are getting laughs from.

Another star I grew up with so to speak has left the world.
That was a nice touch repeating the words from his song.

A balated best wishes to Chuck Berry. For me he plays authentic Rock and Roll. I too was dubious about liking him after I read about those things he did in his life but in the end the music won me over. I visit his web site now and again to read how he is and am surprised and pleased that he is still rockin’.
