I thought they already had over 100 airbus planes. I guess it just feels like it when seeing them at LHR haha.

The straps for the parachute are bonded into the composite skin during manufacture. When it deploys, they rip through the skin making the entire fuselage useless.

Thanks for the info! I never knew that it was constructed like that. 🙂

Probably by getting rid of a few Council supremos.

If only. One of the council members from MK was on the news a few months ago, when asked if he thought he was worth his very high wage, he replied with a ‘yes’ There was many letters of complaint about that in our local newspaper shortly after!

There has been just one case in the UK of the BRS being activated. Good system. People survive but drawback is the need for a new aeroplane.

Is that because the plane is damaged during the touchdown or does use of the parachute stop the plane from flying again?

Here in Milton Keynes we get our rubbish collected weekly.

I never understood why they changed some areasended up with a fortnightly collection. I recall hearing when it came in that the councils said it would reduce rubbish – haha not sure how!!!
