    Well I suppose I would of just liked to thank my grandad who was my father figure as I grew up living with him, he nurtured my interest in flying and fully supported me when I was running around at the age of 4 saying I wanted to be a pilot.

    I’d also want to say sorry to him aswell – when he was in hospital in 1996 I visited him daily (I was 11) but then the hospital imposed a ban on kids visiting saying that they were more likely to bring in illnesses that would make the patients worse (my grandad had goodpastures) Anyway after kids were restricted to the waiting room I decided I wouldnt go because I couldnt see my grandad anyway (I was pretty sure he’d come home eventually) I remember leaving to come home on monday 6th of may 1996, I looked back, waved at him, he waved back and that was the last time I saw him, he died at about 6am on May 9th 1996. 🙁 It broke my heart and ive never been the same since.

    I think the Dash 7’s were at LHR until around 1995. Im sure that was the year that I last saw one.

    Its times like this when im reminded how I was really lucky with my close encounter with a twin star in 2008.
