I think it was put in place for when London hosted the redbull air race.

If it is the one owned by someone in Cornwall, do you know who owns it? I got my PPL down there.

Just saw this on the BBC news site and was going to post it until I saw your post.
    Sad news 🙁

Is the story true? I was sent a link to the photos by a friend earlier but I wasnt sure if the story was true or not as we all too often see random photos of a plane damaged with stories that often have reasons stated that are not true.

    Ridiculous, I agree.

When I was back in the UK at Christmas, I expressed concern at the state of my local Asda car park. Nobody had made any effort to shift the snow or the ice from the car park after the snow had stopped falling. When the woman on the store’s customer service desk told me that if they cleared it, they became liable for any injuries sustained, I didn’t know if she was joking or not. Obviously she wasn’t.

The asda close to me hasnt cleared their carpark either. Considering its their carpark I assumed they had a duty to clear it when it snowed. So does the rule stand that if it snows and they dont clear it and someone falls over and breaks their leg asda cannot be sued? Sounds pretty rediculous and dangerous to me.

The UK is completely messed up.

Air/ground just requires you to hold a radio telephony licence – theres an exam you have to pass. I think your best bet is to look up CAP413 and send an email to the CAA.

I find all this confusing. I guess having not been here long I dont really know the in’s and out’s of it all.

Although speaking of the moderators, maybe deano doesnt get to moderate as much as hes an airline pilot – he has lots of flying to do and then has to have sufficient resting time, see his family etc. Everyone has their own thing going on away from the forum. 🙂

Like I said, I dont know the in’s and out’s of all whats going on here so cant really comment.

    Lets hope not.
At this rate the only way to fly in the UK will be Heathrow.
