I can see where you’re coming from heslop01. I grew up in a town called Southall in west london which is predominantly known for being a very ethnic town. I can take a guess that a fair few of my old school friends probably didnt take too kindly to what went on with that pig.

The BHX flight guide stated this..
Hellenic are now planning to commence their service from
Athens on Saturday 4 July 2009
Make of that what you will.
Actually i’ve looked this up, apparently the first service will be saturday July 4th.
Are you saying the first service started on June 23rd? If so, then it must of landed before you posted.
Yeah it was a great show. I particularly enjoyed it for the same reasons as you, ren frew. I liked the footage of the young lads heads turning as the aircraft climbed into the sky. Reminded me of when you could go past Heathrow and see families spending days out watching planes, nowadays it just seems to be photographers and spotters.
I watched the surviving a crash documentary too, I couldnt help notice that they didnt really give proper facts to the cause of the crashes – such as the eithiopian that ran out of fuel, they conveniently forgot to add the part that there was the problem of some hijackers onboard requesting to be flown to Australia..
Is EGHB a Forney Aircoupe? If so we currently have one at Cranfield thats for sale! Nice looking aircraft.
Great set of photos. Very enjoyable. Looks like you had a great day.
I read about half of it but then realised I was wasting valuble life living time.
If its about Airbus why is the picture of Alitalia MD80’s? If they’re gonna construct an arguement to ground airbus planes atleast get the basics like a photograph right..
I’m surprised journalists have enough time to write rubbish like that. Shouldnt they be reporting on the credit crunch or sitting in a warzone and reporting on that?
Cool photos!
Alot of variety.
I often wondered what aircraft that was since i’ve been flying from Cranfield for the past year. Shes parked on her own at the moment but I noticed someone who posted above said they are the new owners? Hope she gets the care she deserves. I’ll go and snap a few photos once shes been moved round by the lightning 😎
Yeah that guy doing his 100th flight with them didnt seem to be very pleased nor appreciate the attention.
I also didnt realise Roy Suckling died neither. How very sad as he seemed like a nice bloke. 🙁
Cal900
It does indeed seem that they are still happily transporting passengers!
I thought it was pretty good. Had some nice old footage!
Also watched the documentries on Hendon and Suckling airways too.
Wow nice!
Oh thanks for the additional info! Also I apologise for my mistake in calling it a rapide when it was dragon. 🙂
