It’s ashame that it’s like that up there. I think that now the Specials and PCSO roles are seen as stepping stones to becoming a full PC (As you know that’s my intended route too) I think the new recruits and being made to go that route more so now possibly as a way to weed out time wasters that train up as a full PC and find they dislike the job.

Do PCSO’s have cars? I’ve only ever seen them on bikes down here. I see them quite regularly. I do agree though, rarely see PC’s on foot. I used to see the mounted police constables regularly in the Central Milton Keynes but I haven’t even seen one of them since around 2010.

Jim, has many specials packed it in up there? Down here, TVP has had such a positive outcome with apps to join the specials that their recruitment for it has been closed for nearly a year as they train up the new recruits.

I would just like to see better programming instead of reality TV shows and game shows. Some decent comedies and documentaries would be good. I watched ‘growing up poor’ last week which I thought gave a good insight in to young people and how some are lazy but others are trying to get by as best they can.

Lovely set. I had wondered where N4173T was, it used to be Cranfield based but judging by your photo it’s up for sale. Never did seem to move much at Cranfield really.

G-SKYE spent some time at Perranporth a few years ago when I was flying from there. Nice to see it’s still flying about.

A nice selection of airfields you went to. I’ve been meaning to go to Oxford airport since I saw how interesting it looked when I was at Thames Valley Police HQ last year.
