I read about the note yesterday, although Devon and Cornwall police said that was just one of the possible avenues they are investigating. No details were given about the letter though.
All will be revealed in time. Either way, very very sad.
I don’t like to ask, but what was the aircraft/reg involved, does anyone know? I only ask as i’m wondering if it was one of my old training aircraft.

Culpano, relax. I don’t find MAN that exciting. I grew up living by LHR so most of the LHR stuff is run of the mill for me. I’ve been to MAN a few times, and don’t get me wrong it’s nice for spotting locations but when it comes to types/airlines it’s not really an airport that I feel I need to get to as much as possible incase I miss something. I’m not ‘dissing’ your local, I just don’t find it as ‘exciting’ for airlines/types as you do.
As Aeropics has said, Southend has seen some pretty unusual visitors and that does give Southend a certain appeal.

Most of the pics I have of late are mainly private jets, because I work around them, but they are often different.

Oh no, not this again! These people are so mental. I tried talking to someone who posted on one of my flickr pics once, and also one who comment on a contrail pic of mine on deviant art, both were not willing to accept that they were wrong. Seriously, they don’t listen to fact nor reasoning. They are so paranoid that they can’t see the truth. They are seriously messed up. I just think they’re probably on drugs and end up paranoid that way.

Oh no, that is so sad! 🙁 I flew from Perranporth from 2004 to 2007, such a lovely airfield and nice staff.

RAF Portreath is not very far from Perranporth, so he didn’t get far. I used to live 2 miles from Portreath.
