I think the interest is because alot of us remember alot of these planes from our younger days 🙂
Also it was when airports like LHR wasnt A319 after A320 after A320 after A321 after A319. The variety was much much much better in the old days.

No problem 🙂 That one seems to of been in since around September or so I think. I’ve got no idea when its leaving.

Dont worry about the security as such. They generally dont do anything. Normally airfield ops will come and say hi but thats all. If you say you’re taking pics they’re fine about it. I know some spotters ask ops before hand over by the tower if its okay. I’ve not done this as I fly from cranfield and know my limits as such when taking pics only 🙂

Yep, they tend to have a nice break for xmas there. Normally from xmas eve to around 3rd or so of January.

I saw it at Birmingham a fair few years ago now and didnt even know who it belonged to at the time as it was a fair distance away, didnt get a pic.. now I regret it as I havent seen it since!

I just wish there was more pics online of planes landing on runway 23 at LHR. I wish I took pics when I lived in London as I would of got some great shots of the birds approaching runway 23.
