comet, sounds like you have the same sort of cyclists as we have here in Milton Keynes. They think they own the road and the redway (the redway is a pathway set out for both people walking and cyclists but cyclists think it’s just for them)
I hate having to walk along the redway and have these people zoom past me at some speed. Some have the courtesy to use a bell when they are coming along, others just wiz by. The redway is wide enough for us both but they always feel they need to come in close proximity to me and who I’m walking with.

I remember on a driving lesson back in 2006 when going up a very steep hill, the cyclist ahead of me decided that rather than pull over and let me go before the hill he would keep in front of me and struggle up the hill instead. If I remember right I went up that hill in first gear.

hampden98, you can have a go at landing without any experience, doesn’t mean you can pull it off successfully though. The ‘landing’ can turn into a ‘crash’ so easily.

Jim, I can only imagine it must be an individual thing that goes through their minds; in 2008 when an aeroplane came head on towards the aeroplane I was flying, despite putting my aeroplane into a steep descent I was pretty certain that they were going to take off the tail section of my aeroplane as I descended so I remember maintaining the steep descent and in the back of my head I said goodbye to my family and carried on flying the aircraft. It was to my relief that after a few seconds I realised that they had passed over the top of us, just!

This is only about 5 mins drive from my home in Beanhill. Been there before the restoration so it will be nice to go back sometime and see what it looks like now 🙂

Tragic news about the pilot. That is ever so sad to what was a really good outcome at first. 🙁
