PCSO’s are not part time. At least they don’t seem to be with TVP anyway, whenever they have an intake it’s a full time position.
Nowadays to become a PC the main options are to start out as a Special Constable or a PCSO. Occasionally new applicant vacancies become available.
PCSO’s duties and responsibilities depend on their region and Chief Constable. Additionally, there’s a misconception that PCSO’s can’t arrest anyone. Under section 24A of PACE (Police And Criminal Evidence Act) they can if a person has committed, or suspected of committing an indictable offence, however a Constable then has to attend to form an actual arrest.

In Milton Keynes we have the Redway system which basically is a red path that is designated for people walking and cyclists. Unfortunately cyclists think they own it. I always make sure I walk to one side of the redway but sometimes I am carrying shopping etc and it annoys me that cyclists ride past me at high speed nearly brushing my arm (or shopping bag) when there is more than enough room for them to pass by with space in between. All I ask is they have lights and a bell so that when they do come up behind me I am not surprised by the fact there’s a bike literally beside me going by quickly. I’m sure one day I will get run over by a cyclist that’s being reckless.
There are some nice cyclists and thank me if we’re in a situation where I give way to them, however I’ve had incredibly rude cyclists that try to squeeze by in a space that isn’t there and then give me or my mates an evil look (this is where a bell would have worked wonders for them as I don’t have eyes in the back of my head) I saw a cyclist one day coming along, he looked at me, so I smiled and nodded. His response? ‘f*ck off’ How polite. If cyclists want to be accepted on the redway, or the road, they need to learn to respect those around them.

He’s done well for himself and deserves to do this.
After the way things are here I’m sure many would ditch the UK for a Caribbean island of their own.

Sounds like we watched the same thing then.
They do seem an evil lot. I remember the guy on countryfile saying they ran him over when he wasn’t happy with them on his land. Crazy to think they are really that desperate and evil to carry out their barbaric act.

Sure thing 🙂 Will try and suggest a day out for my nan as I’m sure she’d like it there as she grew up in the war 🙂

Well if they overcharge and lose custom that won’t work, will it? It’s like any business – the right price is the marlet price – price customers are prepared to pay. It’s not complicated.

It seems to be working well for the energy companies with price rises every few months 🙂
