    Sad news:

The author who released recent photos of J-15 with WS10 and other J11 images was summoned by authority. His Pc and memory cards were forfeited. Luckily, he was freed with warning only.

My regards to the young man who brought us so many images over the wall of SAC airfield. That highlights there is still risk for taking such images.

    Watch out !

I’m afraid we won’t have clear upcoming SAC J16 images like what we used to see CAC J 20

However does anyone see a PESA being placed canted?

I think the LO reason doesn’t justify the power loss for a relative low power PESA compared to AESA.

    not true.

check Grifo or AGP-66 or AGP-70.

If u looked carefully, I was replying Deino’s post which limits the scope to ESA only.

We r judging it’s ESA or not NOT by the existence of IFF probes or not. But by the shape ,array location from the back end etc. From these observation, it seems the radar is ESA by this moment. However, the IFF alike thingy will affect it’s AESA or not.

But having a closer look, the edge of the radar array seems shiny, indicating it may be covered by sth much smoother. And the line of red dots could be just Chinese words on the cover.

Normally u can find IFF probes in a row or rows on the Russians’ phased array radar. But western AESA intergrates IFF into the planetary array.

However, I’m not sure what the row of red dot on the array is .

tell me why would this be WS-10A?
    shiny petals?

Trust me it’s not only shiny or not. If u put another yellow j15 with af31 photo side by side with this one. You will get the sense why this one is with ws10 engine

    Thanks!

that picture just looked a bit too awesome to be true 😀

That confirms China doesn’t lack of good aircraft but rather good photographers.
Too many images taken by small, portable, hideable cheap devices for some obvious reasons.

But now it seems somebody really brought into some decent equipment to change the status quo.

Today frontline report saying J20 flew at least twice. The Second time flight is quite long.
It made some maneuvers during flight, some rolling & tight turns.
