Are you sure thats from the same blk of J11s? The HUD in the first set of pics seems wider and rounded, and is green tainted like the one shown in a lab (can’t seem to find the pic just now). Also, the colour of the paint of the canopy frame is yellow in this pic while it was dark grew in all the other pics.

Wider or rounded could be some “fisheye” effect when image was being taken. Color different one still in premier color while the other already I PLAAF camo.
Note the J11B in 1st picture also is in yellow

complete nonsense. why would they do research in US? If they know how do research they will never be in US at first place. Russia was the same closed society like China.

    Complete what?

If they have consumed US education and R&D than there results are American. China is a consumer of knowledge not a producer of knowledge.

No man, Yankees are not stupid to only take high school students from China,
most of them are educated in China but presure thier further research there

are u referring to this. the founder is American educated. and R&D team is from experianced people from North America/EU/Asia. It is not called indigenous Knowledge.

    Oh, oh,

Tens of thousands of Chinese working in US R & D, so u call the results from them non american?

World does not work on ur thinking. Those MMIC is foreign.

here is some history lesson for You. when China couldnot even make its own toys

Offcoures Pentium was discovered in China.

where is sign contract and deliverdy of EL-2034 and where is certification of of it? and why it is not on CATIC official page. and there was no export order of J-8 in mid 90s like FC-1. So any order is for benefit of Chinese indigenous development as state funds have been used for its development and China was poor at that time for radar development export extravagance.

Star, you know your talking flaw?
Crobato is talking Russia compared to China in semiconductor industiries
Your approaching is ALWAYS like this:

    1. U demonstrate that China lag behind the world level, then you say China is backward
    2. China is backward, then Russian still better

How the hell is your logics?
Why you just compare apple to apply, if you say China is like that, that, show Russian one, show Russian’s Foundry to talk on points, afterall, people want to access these 2 countries level only.

Because it’s the new engine, only more tests can prove it, it’s no doubt currently a few J-10s are installed with WS-10A “Taihang” for test fly. You start earlier will only benefit you to reveal more “ Small mattes” you mentioned, and address them earlier. To be frank, AVIC1’s China Aviation News reported in last Nov that SAC Liming Engine plant delivered 4th and final WS10A turbofan engine to CFTC for a new model fighter jet’s certification, IMO, it’s for J10 with WS-10A, see here ( In Chinese):

    http://www.war-sky.com/forum/htm_data/46/0611/216544.html

As for the another official report regarding J-10 & WS-10A “ Taihang” Turbofan engine from Chinese central government’s mouthpiece—People’s daily:

China becomes world’s 4th nation to develop advanced fighter planes

    http://english.people.com.cn/200701/05/eng20070105_338474.html
China has become the world’s fourth country that is capable of developing on its own advanced fighter planes, engines and missiles, said Geng Ruguang, deputy general manager of the China Aviation Industry Corporation I (AVIC I).
China has successfully developed the new-generation fighter plane Jian-10, or Fighter-10, the Taihang turbofan engine and air-to-air missiles.
China’s home-made new-generation fighter aircraft, the Jian-10 (Fighter-10), made its debut in Beijing on Friday.
A five-minute-long video film revealed how the fighter takes off, lands, fires missiles and flies in formation.
The Jian-10 and the Taihang turbofan engine, both with proprietary intellectual property rights (IPR), heralded the third generation of Chinese fighter aircraft and military aero-engines, said Geng.
He said the Chinese Air Force had been equipped with the country’s newly-developed fourth-generation air-to-air missiles.
    Source: Xinhua

The Air-to-air 4th Gen missile probably refers to PL-12 whose code name yet to be declassified.

J-10 is primarily supplied to PLAAF but under certain circumstances it’s available for export.

That’s the words of Mr Liu Gaozhuo, top executive of Chinese AVICI, who said so in the interview with PhoenixTV. He also confirmed AVIC1’s subsidiaries like CAC & SAC are working on Chinese next generation fighter after J-10.

The report by Pheonix TV ( In Chinese):

Do we know which engine the above aircraft is fitted with? WS-10A or AL-31F?

The J11B is outfitted with WS-10A, that’s no doubt as it’s confirmed by the WS-10A “Taihang” chief designer Mr Zhang enhe.

You can review the Chinese TV interview of Mr Zhang during the Zhuhai Airshow 06, where ou also can see the WS-10A and its testbed the J-11B, the video clip of Mr Zhang’s interview is listed below:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x37FZef0nqs

But from the picture, it’s very hard to tell which one is WS-10A and which one is AL-31F except you can see the petals clearly.

While CAC may steal the limelight with the declassification of its J-10 fighter, the SAC certainly wants to gain back some points by revealing its latest J11B heavy fighter with 2 PL-12 ARH MRAAM to the public.
